It'd certainly be nice if it was! However, even at 30 bucks the AGA-T2 is awesome. I just didn't care for how top heavy it made my mods feel since I carry them pretty much every, campus, work etc.

Yeah, I didn't even think about the weight factor, however, wasn't really planning on taking it anywhere. I'd most likely be using it on my Vamo and that's too heavy as is to carry round. Used mainly while lurking about on the forums. ;)

Genesis mods aren't an "on the go" type of device. All or most are heavy. They're made from solid steel and the top cap has to be rather thick so it doesn't get too hot when vaping. The mini DiD clones are smaller and lighter but unless you have a perfectly rolled wick & wire with the fill hole plugged, it's going to leak if left on its side for any given time. My gennys stay at home where they belong. The AGA-T2 is a great device for beginners to gennys since it won't break the bank. I would never spend $100+ on my first genesis.

Yeah I got an AGA-T and it stays in the house. And I only paid 15 for it I think. Perfect for someone starting out. And a lot of these genesis RBA's are getting to be better quality. My question is, is there a huge performance difference say between the ZAP and an AGA-T?

Apart from tiny variations in center post and ground screw distance from the wick hole, I don't think there is much difference. As long as the caps and all parts that come in contact with juice are made from ss, the performance of the device is going to be greatly dependent on the way one builds the wick and coils. China is catching up in the market and beginning to produce some very solid devices as we are seeing with the AGA line. The days of $175 genesis tanks are coming to an end (thankfully) so novices can get the genny experience without selling a kidney. There will always be a collectors market for the high end stuff. The next few months are going to be interesting. More affordable RBAs on the horizon.

I dunno, my pals Cobra is pretty light. If Genesis attys do "belong at home" as you say then I'm not down with them. If I spend that kind of money on a part (of an item thats replacing cigarettes) then I want to enjoy any and everywhere. But thats just me. Like you though I am excited about whats on the horizon as far as Genesis attys.

I've never owned a Cobra. They come in two sizes though. There are very small gennys on the market but I still feel that they are for stationary use. That's the beauty of the vaping world. There's a setup for any occasion or level of expertise. When I go out, I always go stealth and take along an eGo twist with either a filled carto, a carto-tank, or a Kanger T3 depending on my mood or how long I'll be out. When I'm at the desk, I'll have a few mods at my disposal and switch them up. I think you should give gennys a try but my advice would be unless you have an unregulated 3.7v mod like a mechanical mod or a Bolt or Silver Bullet, don't bother. VV mods just get in the way of the genesis' potential. This quandary is why so many of us find ourselves with collections of stuff. The good news is if you own something and stop using it for whatever reason, the ECF classified section is the best way to sell your stuff.

Here is an example of a small genny with a 5ml tank and 18350 battery compared to a 400 Spinner and mini Vivi Nova. I can and often do take the genny with me. The only thing you can't do is lay it down.

Same genny with the tank protector on (in travel mode) next to a Provari Mini topped with a standard Phiniac tank. The iHy fits in my closed fist. An Orion V2 is even smaller than an iHybrid.

Oh I'm certainly not writing Genesis attys off. I actually really love the flavor they're capable of when set up right. Easily the best way to experience vaping from a flavor perspective by far. I'm just waiting on a sturdy, and easy to set up one that I could chuck on my Silver Bullet and Kick and not worry about pulling the cap off when removing it from my pocket or backpack. It's hilarious how many times I'm stopped while on campus and asked "What's that thing?" when I'm vaping on my Silver Bullet and Phiniac, LOL. I just see it as an opportunity to educate someone about e-cigs really, so I don't really concern myself with stealth.

For general on the go though I'm a primarily carto tank user though, but flavor wise that set up has nothing on a Genesis... which is why I'm'd really like to own one.

When you find the right genny for you, do yourself a favor and learn to wrap super low resistance coils and use it without the kick. The Kick is great for boosting voltage for cartos, clearos, and tanks, but a genny is THE BOMB with a 1ohm coil and an unregulated 3.7v battery. The Kick wont allow that kind of vaping experience. You will thank yourself for it.

I got vapemail!

Today's shipment was a big one, and included:

GGTS Stealth
GGTB
iAtty
2x Beautiful Dream Atomizer (Kayfun clone)

I already loved my GGTS's... they're solid, I love the feel and particularly the side-mounted button, and they shine up real purdy. Another one in short mode gives me a place to put my Z-Atty-G that was pretty much guaranteed to be a hit with me. Though, I may put something else on it... seems a shame, on such a small PV, to put an atty that'll probably leak if it goes sideways. I'll keep playing around with it... God knows I have a good selection of atty's I can try on it.

The GGTB is a nice, thin PV, and I'm thinking it may be the fiancee's introduction to mechanicals. It doesn't telescope like the GGTS, but it fits my NiCad 4.5 volt batteries perfectly, which gives it a nice little kick over 3.7 batteries. I've got the Penelope on it for now, making it pretty leak-proof and purse-friendly, if by chance I should not fall in love with it. It has the same button as the GGTS, and I'm a sucker for that button.

The iAtty was the last piece in my GG shipment. It's sort of a precursor to the Odysseus atomizer, and a nice little piece of work. With premade "ready wires" it was a cinch to set up and get running, and it's vaping as well as I could ask for, and it's really nice-looking in that way I find GG stuff to be. I ordered a GGTS base along with it, which lets me use the GGTS's built-in air control to get the draw just how I like it. This one also won't leak, so it may end up on the GGTS Stealth, even if it is a big on the large side.

The Dream attys were a bit of a surprise to me. Not only had I forgotten they were coming, but I didn't know much about the Kayfun atty's to begin with. As it turns out when setting them up, the innards are almost exactly like the iAtty... which leads me to believe the Kayfun (which people call the dreams a clone of) are themselves an iAtty clone. As a result, they work great; probably as well as the iAtty and Penelope (which shares a similar configuration, being basically a small version of the Odysseus), for a fraction of the price. These things look really nice on my Provari -- like they were built for it. They just happen to also look pretty sweet on the new GGTB, which is cool.

Thank God I don't get shipments like this every day, or I'd have overdosed on nicotine by now.

For those of you who use Phoenix RBAs, is there a way to clean the coils of buildup in situ?

I've been water-rinsing and dry-burning since I got it but it doesn't seem to help anymore. I asked elsewhere and got told to not bother and toss them and just attach a new one. I only have three, and if a coil on these only lasts a week of vaping then I will have to rethink my love of them.

Denture cleaner? Vodka?

Party at Trick's! :vapor:

So I've got a coworker who primarily vapes Bobas on an eGo (not a Twist) with LR Boges. He's tired of topping off the cartos all the time and is looking into tanks. I do use tanks, but 99% of my juice is roughly 70/30 PG/VG. I'm concerned about wicking issues with Bobas, since I don't think he dilutes it. He's used Stardusts in the past, but seems to like the Boges other than needing to top them off to keep them from burning. What do you guys/gals who vape 100% VG in tanks do to ensure the juice wicks properly?

And yes, I intend to give him some of my HHV order to try out. He doesn't have any issues with PG, so I see HHV tobaccos in his future. :D

P.S. Trick, I really wish I could 'Like' your avatar...

I use cotton yarn for wicks in the Phoenix as they wick better and rinse perfectly clean with water. I don't bother cleaning the coils. The coil should have a little gunk built up on it which makes it "seasoned" and allows the juice to taste fuller. When the wick is spent, just rebuild a new one. I know it's a pain on those little suckers but the more you do it the quicker the task will become. I've been using the same coil for a week with no issues. When I rinse with water, I pat the wick dry and follow up with a squirt of 90% rubbing alcohol. The alcohol evaporates super fast and dries the wick a lot better than if you just let it sit damp with water. When the wick is bone dry and has no alcohol smell (only takes minutes), I start the dripping again.
