The Kanthal 32g I ordered from OKC vapes hasn't come in yet and I got antsy. Nope, it's kicking my ..... I think it's something with the mesh wrap at the top - I wrapped 6/7 and read about 2.8-2.9 ohms, but when I fire it up it gets red hot at the top between the positive post and the mesh. I play around with the wire, gently prodding it this way and that to no avail.
Been messin' wit dis since 8 this evening and I'm gonna hang it up for tonight - 1 AM now.

Thanks. I am goggled eyed and the brain ain't working after the nearly 300 miles I drove today.
I am vaping Legend on the Stubby eGo set at 3.2 volts using a 1.8ohm coil and it sure is good.
Waiting for the new eGo Twist to fully charge. It actually shows charged after only 15 minutes but I will leave it connected a while longer.

Nichrome has more than twice the resistance than the same gauge/length as Kanthal. Just a head's up Chak.
Got a question. I was just watching a Busardo vid on the Phoenix RBA. He mentioned that he would like to see a larger air hole feeling it would make it less harsh and smooth out the vape. Has anyone experimented with this?
You don't need it. You just unscrew the cap a tad and acts as a carburetor.
Or just drill a larger hole. Lots of people do it

That's not a problem for me MP...I just wanna know what I can expect. I agree with Busardo...your RBA is awesome but it is a little on the harsh side. I'd like to tame her down. Adjusting the voltage makes no difference. Just wondering if he's right...getting a little more air flow. Maybe I'll pick up another one or two of these before I try boring another hole. Can't put it back. Or can I....
Rj is right, it's 3.3v for non-twist eGo-C or T batteries. The eGo-C Upgrade has two modes - 1. regulated is a constant 3.3v and 2. unregulated it works like a mechanical mod - at full charge it'll be 4.2v and slowly drop to 3.2v as the charge is used up. JoyeTech says this variable voltage and "technically" it is, however, unlike the Twists, you cannot choose, or control what the voltage is.

I cannot get over how good this AGA-T2 is running with this ceramic wick. I have vaped an entire tank of shadowfax to the bottom with no wicking issues at all. I keep tilting because of habit but I don't have to at all. Coil still reading 1.9ohm still. Almost done modding this second one and pulled the raised negative post out. Also got some hex bolts to replace the Philips screws just for looks. Don't know if I'll have enough room between coil and bolt but will cross that bridge when we get there. I may try and run my Dark Horse with a low ohm coil and see if I can get that running. Really wanna try this 0.7-0.9 ohm coil people are raving about. Wish me luck.

New Toy today! REOSMods mini 2.1 color called Copper Vein although looks more like dogturd brown to me. (How come things in real life are never as bright and shiney as they appear on internet?) Works and hits just like a REOS though. Main thing I was interested in- the origonal mini I have carries 14500 batt @ 600 mAh, but the mini 2.1 carries a 18490 batt @ 1100 mAh. The idea is to last all day, so I won't have to carry one or two Twists and a REOS to work- just my two minis.

My VMod uses 18650 batteries and they last all day plus... I like the 9ml juice bottle too - no need to refill half way through the day.

four to five ml of juice a day is about it for me. Two minis (three ml bottles each) get me though the day fine, although the thoughts of a Grand keep creeping in. Gotta quell that urge, just bought a VVGrand last month and this 2.1 this month... Anyways, that VMod, is that the one you have to tilt to squonk ? Seems I've heard that about another mod somewhere

Don't misunderstand me now Papaw, when I said I like the 9ml bottle and don't have to fill half way through the day, I mean it'll actually last me a couple days on that one bottle. I need to get a couple more spares, so I can swap out flavors and not have to put the juice back in the original bottle.
And yes, this is the one you have to tilt and squonk. Works like a charm too. Lovin' it! I'll see if I can't get a picture of it up here soon.
