Yeah, the 1600*C one from here: lightningvapes | eBay

It was a steal of a deal. :)

That's not a very good deal. Over $1/ft? Am I missing something? House of Vapor sells bulk silica for 35 cents/ft, if I remember correctly.

ETA: I just saw you referred to the 1600 silica. Not a terrible deal if you buy a lot, but HOV is still much cheaper and doesn't have minimum order lengths.

It was $53 for 100 feet, and with shipping I paid around $60. Cheapest we pay in Canada is around $1 a foot and that does not include shipping. Pricing at some vendors in the U.s may be cheaper, but then we get dinged with $20 shipping because they usually have fixed international shipping options.

Edit: HOV International shipping $24.95. ;)

Point taken. Your English is so good, I forget you're in Canada. :p

LOL. Canada is primarily English speaking too. I've grown up my entire life with English being my first language at home, school in India, Kuwait, England and now in Canada. I would hope that my English was decent, if not good. :D

Anyone else have a Z atty and unhappy with the performance? For the life of me I can't figure out why they use a spring inside of these things. The voltage drop is ridiculous. There are 3different contact junctions inside the atty before it hits the wire. The 510 pin, the spring, then the top post. I'm thinking of making a brass rod to replace the insides so it is one piece like the cobra atty.

With any mechanical mod, you're at the mercy of what the battery has left in it. A fully charged battery at 4.1v will give you a much harder hit (11.2 Watts on 1.5 ohm coil) and will constantly diminish as the battery drains itself. Most folks change out batteries at the 3.8 - 3.9v mark, to avoid feeling that diminishing vape quality.

It's one reason I moved away from mechs and into the VV/VW world. Atties/Cartos were just not being manufactured consistently and my vape quality would suffer.

Most mech users these days are chasing that mega cloud of vapor with sub ohm coils, that the protective circuitry of the VV/VW mods won't allow.

Thanks Dusty for clearing that up. That's what I was thinking about Mods, but wasn't sure. Don't believe I'll get into Mech Mods as I have no need for sub ohms. About 1.5 thru 1.8 is sufficient for my juices, and consistent volts is much better.

I am kinda in the same boat. I have ribbon wire on it right now and ain't digging it so much. I have to rebuild and then make my judgement. I just got it with high hopes.

Love mine. Had issues yesterday but it was needing a rebuild and back to normal. Erik I'll take yours for 35$

"The spice must flow"

I don't give up that easy. I will try it on the MKB with a lower ohm coil. I haven't had too much time to tinker with it.
