Just finished wrapping a 1.0 ohm coil with .5mm ribbon on one of my Richmans' using 1/8" (4mm) silica sleeve - it's hitting pretty awesome for a couple draws then I have to wait for the juice to feed up as it's fairly snug in the wick hole. Looks like I'll have to the 1/6" (2mm) on the other one.

Hey, found a solution - I took the screw out of the fill hole, now air can get in better and it seems to be wicking better. :D

Mp you can do it, there's just a couple extra steps. I don't honk it's any different between an iPhone and android.

You have to set it to open links within tapatalk, then go to the for sale forum and at the bottom of the screen open the options and click on open in safari (not sure what your browser is)

It will then open the forum with your browser but still within tapatalk. From there you can create the thread :)

Chak I had to take that screw out too, I'm hoping he opened up the hole a little bit on the hybrid. Look like my preorder will ship next week :D

I opened the fill holes on the AGA-T2s, but not the Richmans. Maybe, I'll do that after this tank is finished. Coventry is tasting might fine right now! I believe, I prefer silica over SS cable - I'm getting tons more vapor! :toast:

Was hoping you were gonna say the pure lol

It's already scratched on the base a tiny bit and I drilled out the hole a little.
I'd only trade it towards a second kayfun lite.

Gotta be honest. As much ss the pure is amazing, I'd be tempted as heck to do that. This thing is all I use.

Yeah I'm looking forward to the 91% I don't put my kayfun down ever.

Just got a Smok RDA (octopus) .. holy schnikies... those things work. I loaded up the miles of wick with Huntsman, threw it in my Vamo and it went all H.A.M.
nice, CHEAP piece of kit.

Best tasting thing I've used to date.

And it should last a while between rebuilds... The NETs I've been vaping leave like no goo on the coils and wick.

Couldn't wait on the preorder. If he gets extra for site, I'll gladly pay retail.
Though at the same time 15$ more for a lite from intaste.

Ive never used an octopus. Is it big?

Not that big... With a drip tip, length is pretty close to an evod or a 45mm tank (with tip), but the body itself is fairly compact. Width, it is a little smaller that the sleeve on my vamo... so it it actually fits well, visual wise. I'd get a pic if I had the chance. So it would look right at home on most any mod out there. The only trick is getting the wicks tucked in without making a mess when you put the body on the base, but that's still pretty simple.

I've only had it for a little bit, so I haven't had time to really get to experience whatever eccentricities it might have. But so far, I've been really pleased. It has a nice, firm smooth draw... tighter than my evods, lighter than the smok cartos in my tank. It's also whisper quiet, like my evods. Puts out a good vape. I am trying to load it up to see where the wicks get overloaded, but the bottom plate still looks fairly dry, so I haven't quite hit that point yet.

The only thing that I would like to see is something to keep the wick touching the bottom plate..maybe a guide or something... so any juice that gets to the bottom would get wicked.

Here is a quick pick to show it's size. The drip tip is fairly large, almost doubles the length. But as you can see, it is pretty compact. The actual chamber inside starts where the ribbing sort of ends... Simple design. There is a base with a two-post setup for the coil with a vent hole (with a small chimney to help avoid leaks) directly under the coil location... which ducts into the base at out a hole on the outside. The hole on the base and body need not be lined up as there is a channel formed between the o-rings, allowing air flow. If they aren't lined up, it would tighten up the draw a little maybe. Double o-rings seal the body on to the base (the bottom plate of the base can be seen) and they are tight, let me tell you. Almost too tight. I pop it off my Vamo and put it on an old eGo when I need to pull the body as it takes a fair amount of pressure to unseat things. It could stand to be a little looser... but from what I've seen online, a lot of the people that had earlier versions complained that the rings were too loose, causing the body to wobble easiliy. So Smoktech certainly solved that problem.

An extremely simple design, so there isn't really all that much to worry about (i.e. me to screw up)
