Well, you already know what my solution would be.....

I've been making a lot of 11-12 wrap coils that are ohm testing below 1.0 ohms with 29 gauge wire. I don't know that I really want to stay in that range. Would 30 gauge, or even 32 gauge, get me closer to a 1.5- 2.0 ohms range ? I just think my HHV juices taste better around 8 watts instead of the 15- 17 watts I've been getting lately.
Also, would increasing the resistance lengthen or shorten the battery life on a strait mechanical mod ?

Papaw, 10 wrap of 30g around a 2mm drill bit would bring you right at the 2 ohm mark. I get 1.8ohms with a 8 wrap around a 2.3mm drill bit.

Maybe that's my problem. I'm not using a drill bit, I'm using a very small bad-type nail, one used for finish work on cabinetry. It's probably closer to 1/32 an inch, the diameter of the nail is really that small. Three inches of Kanthal will wrap 12 times easy, and still have tails long enough feed through posts then trim off of the backside.
Maybe I just need to get a 1/16th drill bit like everyone else....

5/64ths = 2mm

TEMCo Industrial Power Supply.

Am I the only one who orders from this place ?
Inexpensive, fast service/ delivery, wide range of Kanthal (now including flat ribbon) and aware that Vapers are buying smaller spools from them. Just a few prices;
Kanthal A-1 round wire, 30 gauge, 100 feet spool - $5.47
Kanthal A-1 flat wire 0.7mm X 0.1mm, 100 ft - $25.71
Not sure if that flat wire is a good price as I don't use ribbon, I use the round.
Since several of our friends here in the HHV Army are now getting Rebuildables, I just thought I'd make them aware of this source for Kanthal wire and ribbon. If you already know of a better place then go for it.

30 g 100 ft at Lightning Vapes is $5.50...so it beats LV. I've heard of Temco many times on the forum...sounds like a good deal. :)

OK, I'm officially getting frustrated with this SVD. The power goes off of its own volition. It's starting to piss me off. About one out of every 8 - 10 attempts, I get no power. The thing shuts itself off and I have to turn it back on. Gets old! Any other SVD owners with the same problem?
No but I've managed to accidentally turn mine off by taking to many hits in too short of time , only takes 3 presses but if yours is acting up have them swap it out for you .

Have we heard any first hand reviews of the Aspire on this thread? I can't recall. It appears there are knockoffs of that already too.
General I don't know if you can call them knockoffs because it looks like they all use Aspire heads and so far I haven't seen generic replacement heads but I have one of the original Aspire units from Nhaler and all I can say is it's been perfect no leaks , flooding , gurgling or dry hits I haven't even opened my pack of replacement heads yet and I've used the head in it for 6 weeks with an occasional soak in grain alcohol and hot water rinse and it's still going strong . The flavor is stronger , cleaner than my protanks and evods . Davide has reworked one of their tanks to take protank and Aspire heads and I will grab one but they're out of stock right now . The Aspire is one hell of a convenience they simply work without having to be fiddled with .

I'm thinking of Robin for the Aspire. She is a Vivi Nova addict and simply will not get off those. Not that they're bad, but there are options that are better. The Aspire is nothing more than a repurposed Vivi Nova that provides a much better vape experience (by all accounts). I just wonder if Robin would open up to it. I gave up on trying to move her a long time ago. She' still awesome though. :)

Send her one for Christmas Bronze , you know she'll never order one for herself , they would be perfect for her since she won't rebuild .

Leave Robin be.. she's found her nirvana, so don't mess with it. :)

I already thought of that Retic. You and I think alike. Dust is just a grumpy old man. :)

Ordered up a Kayfun Lite from vaperev today. I wrapped up a 30g microcoil yesterday for my RBA (Hornet) and it tested out at 2.0 ohms. Too high for my Reo but great for a variable volt device. Used cotton ball stuff and it seems to be working well although it kinda shrinks on itself and gets REALLY dark with N.E.T. juices. I am very spoiled by the ability to vape HHV Nets in any device I want and every other Net I have to find what works and doesn't get destroyed.

We really are spoiled at how clean these HHV juices burn. Let us know how the KFL works for you Bap.
