And will hcigar ever come out with a KFL clone?

They haven't? Any day (after the holiday) would be my guess. If I were to buy a clone, hcigar would be the only manufacturer I would trust to make a nearly flawless replica. I hate to admit, but if they ever do a KFMini, I would likely step down from my "support your modders" high horse.

They just have the 3.1 to my knowledge. While I am with you about supporting the modders, I would not have bought my Nemesis clone at Nemesis prices. I understand they should be rewarded for their inventions. But at the same time, they need to determine the right price point to maximize their profit. If that is 2 or 3x the clone price then so be it. They'll just have to figure out how many people it will shut out of the market. I would be one of them.

It ought to hinge on ST looking at the package with the RMA number they make you put in the address line of the return package. Why have an RMA number if they don't use it? Passing it off to USPS is ST's idiocy if that is how they do it.
Maybe so but still wouldn't leave it to any vendor with maybe the exception of HHV to make things right , wouldn't leave it to any postal system either , you did what you're supposed to but like I said the squeeky wheel gets the grease or the SVD LOL!

Speaking of which I saw a Pbusardo review of the R91% and the Kayfun lite and he stated that the R91% was the more expensive of the two . I understand that it had the airflow control but the last time I looked it was still more expensive than the lite plus , if that's still the case what in the hell are they thinking ?

They're within a few bucks of each other retail - IIRC there was a slightly larger gap before the KFL earned it's '+'. Speaking on wholesale terms, however, there's a much larger markup on the R91 than the KFL+.

I guess it makes the decision between the two easier but the company won't be around long if they continue to ignore the competitors pricing .

Well.... So much for that little valve. :)

Filled my KFC earlier and when I pulled the needle back out, out with it came a little metal ring... the refill valve must have broke and the outer bit came off on the needle and fell on the floor, never to be seen again. Or something.

Oh well.... I just sealed the hole so it wouldn't leak. Guess I'll be filling from the top from now on. :) Or at least until the next thing breaks.

In all fairness, the gauge of the needle on the bottle I was using was probably a wee bit too thick and I was stressing it out every time I pulled the needle back out. No worries.... Looking at it, it was really the only flimsy part on the thing, so I hope the rest holds up!

Leo if I had a genuine 3.1 I think I'd still fill from the top , that valve is so small I'd be afraid I would screw it up or it would just wear out , orings are a lot easier to replace so I haven't even attempted to use the fill valve on mine .

Day 1 I did this. Filled with carto teet forever. That fill hole sucks. Filling from top is easier.

Well, it pretty much is. I can't really blame the clone though.... the bit that fell out was extremely small.... I fit fairly snug around the needle on the bottle... I don't know if it snapped somewhere or just popped out of a seat. Looking at the size and build of that thing, if the original is anything like it (which it most likely would be), I'd imagine that even the SM original would be prone to the same type of failure.

The carto-teet thing is a good idea... if only I could track one down. :) The Smok carts I had for my tank don't have the bottom seal on them. I just took some plastic wrap and used a bamboo skewer to jam that sucker in the hole.

And Yes. :) .. I just checked and plastic wrap is made with polyethylene, both types are considered safe with juice.

Looking good Chak.... This has been a long week already, feeling like crap, it's colder than anything and my KFLs are misbehaving. I seriously think the cold weather is part of the issue as in the morning all seems good at home, by the time I get to work they are acting wonky. This morning I meant to not fill my tank up all the way to see if it helped...but one too many squirts and it was to the rim:laugh:

Cold or not, they work best if you leave a little bit of air in them. I fill through the bottom fill port, holding the KFL on a 45 degree angle (upside down, of course). I call it full when I can just barely see the edge of the bubble at the top edge of the window.

That's how I always did it. Gotta make sure you leave enough space in the fill hole so as you fill the displaced air has a way to get out.

I might be over doing it when using my HHV bottles...think I shoot in a little more air as well (than with the syringe) I'll try to do better next time:D

Just remember IA, you can't seal up that fill hole when you are squirting liquid in it. The displaced air has to escape back out the same hole you fill it with.
