Oh...it'll affect the draw... but it isn't there to have you adjust it to the user's preference.... it's there to adjust to various liquid thicknesses/resistance to flow. Nah... FT wanted a pick of my KFC to do it... JUST got around to sending it... so it'll wait until after the 5th at min.
Yeah they tried pulling that picture crap with me but my response was either send me the parts or I'm sending it back for a refund , I hate playing games , the parts shipped out the next day but the SOB's sent them on a slow boat from Singapore , got even with me I suppose .

I am not sure why retic, but that made me laugh like ****!!!
Dreamreaper I'm a complete SOB when it comes to business . As a chef I was responsible for doing the purchasing at most of the places I worked . A general rule of thumb is usually 5% over for catered events and a locked headcount 48 hrs. in advance but I can't tell you how many times customers called me the day of an event wanting to up the count . A lot of purveyors start their day at 3am and shut down by noon so I would have to call a sales rep to get product after hours , most off them say no problem but a few tried telling me no , wrong answer , if I was in a small restaurant I would tell them , You know me and my background , I can leave here and be running a 2 million dollar a month operation next week and the first thing I will do is throw you and your company out on your azzes and you won't be allowed on the property or get another cents worth of business from me . I always got my product and they usually came bearing gifts as an apology . That's why I told Bronze I would have been all over FT about that SVD . I ain't putting up with BS from any vendor .

Bah.... it'll all work out... I'll eventually get the parts. I'm not going to sweat the small stuff to be honest. This is just a little past time of mine, something to help me relax and I'm going to do my best to not let it introduce stress.

Hell, that's one of the reasons I went to rebuildables... I was obsessing over having enough replacement heads and carts... tried to estimate out a order schedule so I wouldn't run out, etc... forget that.

Got juice, got cotton... batteries charged... I'm gellin'

retic, my career has been replete with vendor relations. I've learned to pick my battles. As for your example, I'd make that one of my battles to be sure. A $30 SVD will get only my second best effort (or less). Sometimes I'm just too damn tired and worn out. :)

Bronze being a chef is kinda like being the dictator of a small country , I didn't have to accept no for an answer and usually had 3 or more sources for any given product , the vendors are aware of that and telling a chef no unless it's physically impossible will end a career for a rep , I never asked for the impossible but I had to do my best for my customers and my sense of integrity and that's how I expect to be treated as a customer myself but I know what you mean about being worn out , but I figure if I'm not too tired to run my mouth on ECF then I'm not too tired to raise hell with FT , helps keep em in line for the next guy too .

    HCigar 3.1 Kayfun "Clone":
First off it comes in a really nice travel case
    DSCF0028.jpg
    DSCF0030.jpg

The machining is excellent, threads are silky smooth, joints almost dissapear. Definately has more weight to it than a Fastech KFC. I really like the Matte finish but it doesnt quite match the brushed SS finish of the SVD.
Next pic: RSST, Fasttech 3.1KFC, HCigar 3.1 KFC
    DSCF0022.jpg
I installed the SS tank, it does come with a plastic tank, translucent, not clear as with the R91C. It does come NOT cleaned, has a definate machine oil residue on it... you need to clean it 2 times to remove the oil... and yes the oil does taste nasty ( I cleaned it once and rinsed 3 times... obviously needed 2 washings)
Airflow control is very nice, can be shut down to nearly nothing and opened up to being quite airy...

I put 100VG 36 nic Legend in it ( forgot to cut it with glycerin) and WOW ... the nic hit was intence ( too much really) the flavor is rich, almost moist. Vapor temp is mild almost cool ( 10.5W with 1.7ohm 30ga 5 wrap on a 1/10" bit cotton wick). Tried to make it dry burn, couldnt do it. The juice kept up with the demand. Dropped the watts down to 8 and still produces plenty of vapor, taste seemed to drop out a tad tho.

If you are thinking about a 3.1.... the HCigar version is the way to go... and it less than 50$... :)

    HCigar 3.1 update...
been vaping on this beauty for the last 18 hours or so, Im really liking the flavor, temp, density of the vapor. I did find one issue ( ehhh not a real issue but could cause a problem) when you go to take the unit off of a mod you need to hold the very bottom of the atty when removing it.... if not holding there, it wants to unscrew at the base/collection tank threads. There is no Oring there, so the friction is minimal at that point... maybe crunchy threads would be a good thing at that point... or an Oring :)

Yeah... I was going to say.... On my KFC, that ring is on there pretty tight, and held in by the tightened positive pin.

Word of warning on the pin though, that sucker is threaded into the positive post in the chamber. If you tighten it down without bracing the positive block, it'll turn the block up in the chamber...

At least that is what it does on my KFC.

this one is different, the +pin sets into the base of the platform and there is another "screw" in the base platform unit that holds the + block. So if you unscrew the + pin it wont let the + block fall off... I like it :)

The hcigar 3.1 is identical design to the FT 3.1 that Leo and I have , the R91% clone you have is a different design , funny that I was calling it a R91% clone before FT changed the description to match but the KFL lite plus has the afc underneath so calling it a KFL clone was inaccurate .
