I may have to re-coil one of my hcigar 3.1's. The resistance is wonky. It will read 1.9 one time and 3.2 the next. Then back to 1.9.

Don't know what the cause of that would be. So the easy thing is to just build a new coil.

The screw on one of your mounting posts may be a bit loose.

After last weekends meltdown, I've restocked with an Xtar XP4 charger, several batteries and grabbed three battery cases. I was checking the VP1 that Lion was talking about, and it looked nice. But I've already got an XP4, and I like having four bays. Plus, the VP1 and the new VP2 charge at 3.9V, the XP4 at 3.7V. Don't know if that's a difference worth noting, but my batts are 3.7V. Probably just keep using the current XP4 and save the new one as a backup. And I will once again have two batteries for each Mod, which is nice. Three separate battery cases will make it possible to 'Charge and Store', which is what I probably should have been doing in the first place....

I love my battery cases cause I have to carry them in my purse. A trick I learned is to always store the charged batteries with the positive side up. When the battery needs charging I put it back in the case with the positive side down. At a glance I can tell what batteries need charging. This works for me because I only open my cases in one direction since I'm right handed.

:)

I use an Ego case for carrying my backup device, juice bottle and spare batts. I use the Positive up/down method too, for ID'ing which battery needs charging. :)

I have a silly question...can someone give me a quick explanation of what a RDA is and names of a couple? I keep reading about people using them but am not sure what they are talking about.

I too have an RDA on my wish list. I've had the Igo-L in my cart at FT for weeks...as well as lots of other stuff. But I'm trying to build up my savings...so for now it remains a wish. I don't care anything about dual coils...so I think the Igo-L will work for me. I have a Phoenix that I never use...maybe I'll pull it out again today and make another coil for it.

Wrapped a twisted coil for the KFL today. 30ga @ 7 wraps on 5/64 bit is 1.1ohms---3.5 silica with 1 strand removed. Picked up some 32ga at the B/M today may try to wrap one for the KFL on the Vamo. If I can get it to 1.5 ohm +/-.

Then again I may wait till it needs one. Pushed the watts up on the Vamo from 12 to 14 and man is it hitting good.

What juice are you using with it? and more importantly, what batteries are you using in your Vamo?

Legend 50/50. The battery is Efest 18650 2250 mAh. I have 3 of them and they are about a year old. I think there age is starting to show because the vape time on them has dropped a little. That or the KFL is taking more power to fire. I'm looking at new batteries. I'd like to get the new purple Efest imr 18650 2500mah 35a but I can't find them in stock anywhere. So I'm looking at the new Sony 18650 vtc5 2600mah 30a.

After more reading I'm going to go with the sony vtc5s.

Sony, by almost all accounts, is the best e-cig battery you can buy with regard to safety and performance. AW is equally as good but they are basically re-labeled Sony batteries. I use AW and buy them from Super T Manufacturing. Dust has a guy here on ECF that also sells AW. Can't recall where he is though.

My Sony vct4s haven't let me down at all. I don't even vape low ohms really but ya never know.

I'm pretty much done buying anything cloned lately but these two above are worth it. Brass And copper(no markings) nemesis clones.

I love my HCigar Neme clone.

Yep Craig, that's your Phoenix atop. I still use it and love it. I have since added a bunch more but that is the very one you sent me (probably over a year ago now).

AW are made with Panasonic battery cells Bronze. They are not a simple re-label deal... :)
As far as I know, when big batches of battery cells are made, they are sorted in various quality grades and Mr Andrew Wong buys top-shelf ones and make AW's.

Yes, I stand corrected, they are Panosonics, not Sony. Panosonic's are the elite batteries, not Sony (I tend to confuse the two). Not sure I know if there's a big difference between buying battery cells and relabeling. Pretty close to the same thing, no?

Nice seeing you Blix! :)

I pop by time to time, but don't post much, nice seeing you too! :)

For the craziest sub-ohmers, the Sony VCT's are the best with their 30A+ limits it seems.

I'm thinking more of when we say re-labeling it implies they just use cells everyone else uses and slaps his name on them, but AW's outperforms pretty much anything in sizes below 18650.
Dave from SuperT have stress tested the AW 18350 and it handled 20A continious without blowing up, which is way outside it speced parameters.
I use Pana for 650, but do want to try those Sonys too.
For everything else, AW.

While I have your attention, how is the new HHV Maple,Eh? :)

I always understood AW selects primarily Panasonic cells. The best of the best as you say.

Maple, eh? If you like the earthy flavors (Dark Horse or Huntsman) then there's a good chance you will like both Maple, eh? and Gaia. Maple, eh? is a grassy vape just like Huntsman but with an extra shot of maple. Gaia is like an amped up Dark Horse.

I need to buy some 18490/18500 batteries for my Provari. Mine are the original ones I bought with the Provari. They are over a year old and they're just about shot. Vape time is terrible on them now.

I'd recommend Super T but they're out of stock. In fact, they are always out of stock. You could go back to ProVape and get their AW's if you don't mind paying a couple/few bucks more. Dust has that ECF source I can never remember. But you do have an account with proVape and in this day and age of CC hacking it might be worth staying on the beaten path (and maybe pick up an accessory or goodie for your Provari while you're there)..
