Combination of both I would think. I did find some blackish residue when I cleaned out the Vivi but then I've also been using this Vivi since Sunday, so a good 12 - 15ml of juice have been through it.

I normally just top up when it gets low, I'll probably wait a while longer now, and then clean and refill the tank with every fill I do. May help to reduce the residue at the bottom.

Thanks for confirming my findings.

With a mini Vivi I refill only once before cleaning. With the larger Vivi I clean every refill and I regret it when I don't because the performance drops and it gets cloggy. I am on 100% VG. My Pirate's Booty got real dark on me the other day...eww. And if my head isn't working correctly sometimes it seems to burn the juice and make it darker. But pretty much most times my juice is clear and light til the end of it. I typically run a 2.8 ohm on 4.2 volts. I dry burn with every refill...that's a must for me! I love vaping on a newly cleaned head. I prefer a cleaned one as opposed to a brand new one...they take a while to break in it seems.

Cleaning after every tank is an option Dusty. I've done it. But I find I actually like it when it gets to the bottom. To each their own...just like everything in vaping. :)

I do believe that cleaning is required more as the VG content rises. At least that has been my experience. I once vaped 100% VG and I had to clean after each tank as well. It was mandatory. I find I need to clean less often at 70/30. Just my experience and YMMV.

OK. Got a 3/32 ss cable wick in the AGA-T2 working. Just enough 500 mesh wrapped twice around the tip for the coil to go over. 0.9ohms. This wicks real fast. The flavor is different. Not bad, just different. I can feel the nic burn more. It could be because there's so much juice being supplied to the coil. It could be the break-in period is more pronounced. No burnt taste. No metallic taste. I'm actually feeling the nic quicker. Gotta slow down. So far I'm excited about this. Much easier to make a wick. Coil building is easier because the wick is so sturdy. Still have to work out hot spots as usual, but the result seems more predictable than rolling your own wicks. Plenty of juice to the coil. I'm going to plug the fill hole and see how it wicks.

This is encouraging X. I hope you don't mind but I am using you guys as guinea pigs and waiting to see how it works out. If it does, I will be springing for the same set up.

And will be bugging you for a routing (bom and instructions). How's that for balls!

It takes some of the guesswork out of the equation. The wick will be the same every time. You just need to wrap a good coil, work out your hot spots, and vape. Real juicy clouds.

I refrained from asking for pix for now. I figured he could put together a nice pictorial with associated building instructions and material list. Am I asking for a lot? Yep! :)

Yeah good call. Bronze shouldn't you be somewhere else?!?

Pics right now won't show you anything special. Looks like a genny setup.

It's just ss 3/32 cable, cut to 35mm length. The top portion is sheathed in 500 ss mesh. I wrapped the mesh twice around the cable. After the mesh was on, I torched the whole wick glowing red twice. I did no juice burns and no quenching. Just burn and cool down. I coiled it just like normal with 28 AWG Kanthal. 5-4 wrap gave it 1ohm. Pulse to work out any hot spots. Fill and vape. Very straightforward.

This is my second build on the Smok RSST. My first was on the AGA-T2 and used the exact same measurements and setup.
