I have one from Discount Vapers. They call it the Wyvern. Other places have it but call it other things. It's a good rba and comes with a ring to go over eGo threads. The ring itself has no threads, though, and just spins in place if it's on an eGo.

EDIT: Got Vapes calls it the Fahrenheit

HA! I knew you'd know. Thank you. Mine does not have the EGO sleeve though.

I found out too late that this is not ideal for my preferred setup like I have in the Phoenix: short vertical ss wick. It came with a fibreglass wick which soaks up the liquid and acts like a reservoir. But the ss) wick doesn't really hold any liquid, so it just kind of sloshes around unconstrained and leaks through the airhole (which is too low IMO). I can get maybe 5 drops in before the gurgling and leaking starts.

By contrast the Phoenix holds 10-12 drops and never gurgles.

Live and learn.

I guess I never figured out the definition of Phoenix capacity. I have one of those needle tips and I get 30 drops in my Phoenix. If I use HHV's standard bottle, I get 14ish. If I use GeJ's standard bottle, I get 10ish.

Maybe I should just say my Phoenix capacity is 10ish - 30ish drops. :)

Anyone here that could answer a few questions, your help would be appreciated; 1) 1.5 ohm dual coil cartos, aren't they actually a total of 3.0 ohms resistance ? 2) Pheonix A7 RBA's. would like one for my VV Grand, but no idea what I'd need other than whatever it comes with. Anyone here know about the A7 ?

Sorry Pops. I know a little about the A10 but not the A7. And you can't vape with an A10 and live. :)

I prefer the Phoenix for similar reasons, although I don't use ss wicks in dripper RBAs. I like the built-in well of the Phoenix. It holds a lot of juice and won't leak because the well is self contained. The other device has a well, but it is created by placing the top on the base, so you can't open it with juice loaded up or juice pours out. I also agree about the hole placement being a tad low.

1) Yes, a dual coil 1.5ohm carto is actually 2x 3ohm coils together. That's why it takes so much voltage to get a dual coil to vape. A dual coil 1.5ohm carto will need 4.5-5 volts to give a great vape. They drain battery like nobody's biznez.

2) What I know about the A7 is that it is a dripper RBA like the Phoenix but it's airflow comes from the connector and through a tube to the coil. That's why it works on bottom feeder mods; because of the open connector. I don't think you need anything else apart from wick material and wire. MrPicC uses the A7, I believe. He will surely know the ins and outs.

On second thought I think i will wait. redeyedancer (owner of REOMods) just informed me on another thread he's waiting on parts for his second RBA creation. I think he mentioned a few days ago a ceramic base (?) REOMizer. But I could be wrong about that....

For the first time ever, I have no EGOs in my vaping kit. I made out pretty well with my gear purchasing, and my mod menagerie now looks like this:

Provari Mini
Vmod 2.0
REO Mini 14500
2x Robust 14500 (one square, one round)
Vision Spinner 1300
2x Cubica 650 (one black, one white)
2x KR510 350 (one black, one white)
VAMO-rest in pieces

Oh and Foo, if anyone can identify this RBA it is you. Does this look familiar to you?

That is, and I have one, a Phoenix V3. Some vendors call it a Rainbow, Wyvern or
what the hell ever.

I noticed HHV is selling the needle caps now. I'm gonna pick me up a couple next order. I was only getting 10 drops with my thick Highbrow juice in my Phoenix.

Don't know about the A10, but used to work on the A7-E back in the day. These also cannot be vaped and live. Without power, they have a glide path like a rock! Here I am atop a ladder working on the radar. I believe we were in Fallon, Nevada doing NavAir Ops. with other Squadrons. Nope, see edit below...

In case anyone wants to see the whole album: Pictures a kinda bad, but hey, they're around 30 years old!

Oops, My bad, wrong A7 :lol::lol::lol::lol:

Edit: Just saw the rest of the album, this is definitely PI! (Notice the young athletic types hanging round) Six month Beach Detachment while the rest of the squadrons were out on Big Gray (USS Ranger) and underway in the Indian Ocean.

Just got this baby after geting on a list for it in... December, I think. I had no idea what I was doing, and am now kicking myself for now knowing what the difference was between a dripper and a Genesis, and not ordering both. The dripper's doing a pretty amazing job right now, though, and I will hound QZI until I have the genny. I'm in love.

Before you say anything, yes, I know I've been in love with several mods that I later sold off with a warning to the buyer that they were bad, wrong and the work of Satan, but it's different this time. I can feel it.

We got VAPE MAIL!!! and it's almost a week EARLY!!! Wasn't expecting it so soon. The Vmod from Vapage.com came in today.

Filled it up with Heavenly Army and using the silo carto they sent - hmmm? Got a couple of wonky hits right off the bat, but figure that might be the primer they have in it. After playing with it for a couple hours now, I'm finally getting the hang of it. Tilt feed the tray, squonk, feed the carto - puff, puff, puff

Bit of a learning curve, but not too steep. Juice tastes great! More to come... puff, puff, puff, squonk!!!

Where the heck did they get that word from? Not even sure I'm spelling it right. :glare:

It takes money from your wallet and vaporizes it. :)

In other news, while the guy who makes those is no longer taking direct orders, he pointed me at a Hungarian site which seemed to have them in stock... I think. I don't read Hungarian very well, and had to rely heavily on Google translate, which is always scary when there's a decent amount of money involved.
