I've been using my Hornet rba on my Reo lately with a 1.5 ohm coil. Otherwise I will use either 1.5 or 1.8 ohm attys depending on juice and mood. Quite possibly my favorite device of all. Any questions feel free and one of us Reo folks will prolly have an answer. Oh and I think either MP or Ice recently bought one.

Just realized you had a wonky carto, oops.

I'm considering calling in sick tomorrow so I can spend the day taking pictures in better light.

I've got an OG mini and a VVG, scarfy. I have no idea why I'm telling on myself again, but I also have a darn expensive (for me, at least) new Hornet RBA still sitting, on my desk snickering and taunting me:p. I've got other attys and those mini 1.7 ohm single-coil cartos down pat, but that does nothing for how much of a vaping loser I've felt like lately...

Thanks. I understand the variables as I mentioned by mileage can vary.
I have dry burned one and initially for 7-10 draws, it had a burnt taste which then cleared up. I have experimented with several cleaning techniques. I used Ever Clear then rinsed and let dry. I have also soaked in water overnight. Both seemed to work just fine. The clearos that do not have replaceable wick assemblies do OK cleaning either way.

Wonder what shipping would cost for someone to buy here and send it to you? Probably about the same? Depends on the method I reckon.

I got my first 4 ViVi Nova tanks (2 regular 3.5ml & 2 minis) back in mid Oct. and just last month got new atty's for them. Now, that's 5 months on the original atty's, however, each tank comes with 3 atty's - so that's 12 atty's in 5 months. I pretty much kept them all full at the same time with different flavors, because I don't like to vape the same all day long and I'd run 3-4 tanks through them before cleaning 'em out. For cleaning, usually a warm water rinse and couple hours soak in vodka followed by a dry burn. I have yet tried to rebuild any of them, but I did save them for that purpose. I did do a couple of coils for my AGA-T2, but need more practice.

Another thing to put into the mix are the 6 Kanger T3's I got in Nov. with two atty's each - just put in my last four remaining atty's last week. (Out of those 12 I had two DOA.) So we're talking just as many atty's in about the same amount of time - a total of 24 in 5 months.

But still, I'd say I was changing out atty's about every 3-4 weeks maybe a bit longer. Hope that's not too much info. ;)

About the shipping, if I could get what I need all from one vender, it would be around $15-$20 - from two venders it'd would almost double for shipping. If someone were to buy it there and send it to my daughter in LA, I could save a few bucks, because she could then send it out here with a mule (a friend who's traveling) for next to nothing. Heck, I might save a couple if they sent direct to me.

I know. I just ordered 100 feet of both wick and wire from The House of Vapor. I could have gotten the wire cheaper on ebay but shipping trumps it really. I don't think I'll need any of that for a while though. All I need now is nic base. I may get an AGA eventually...but man I'm tired of ordering. What I have should last me a long long time. I really need to practice with my Phoenix. If I can wire up one of those, and get an AGA soon, I should be set.

I'm not in any big hurry to stock up that much wick and wire - I was thinking of starting out only a meter or so of each and a A4 sheet of mesh and/or a meter of SS cable. I hear ya on the practice too. ;)

Thanks anyway Bap. I think this is just a dodgy Silo. Bummer that I wasted about 5 mls of Gorilla Juice figuring it out. I think I drank about 4 mls of that :)

Scarf, is that a Silo from Vapage? I didn't care for the ones I got from them either - it would either flood or get dry hits, never a happy medium! I don't have a REO, but I do have the VMod bottom feeder. The AMG Hybrid atty works much better for me.

That Poldiac is a hard find. Where'd you cop that?

...and is that a Kayfun on top??

The Poldiac is reasonably easy to find compared to most others made out of unobtainium.. You can buy a Poldiac right now from their website if you want to. :)

That doesn't look like a Kayfun to me.

I looked at a vid of the Poldiac not long ago. Got to use vaseline to put it together? What's that all about?

Many use Vaseline to lube the threads and o-rings (if any) rather than products like Noalox, which contains zinc powder to make it conductive. Noalox tends to get very thick over time and is rather messy. Sometimes you need to lube a part which should not be conductive, like the insulator ring around the positive axis. Vaseline is good for that. I use NoOxId "A-Special" conductive grease on my threads. It is the best of both worlds. It prevents oxidization of any brass parts and improves voltage under load.

I just ordered 100 foot of 32 A1 Kanthal from Ebay for under 9 bucks with free shipping. Just passing it along.:)

Yeah I saw some for $8 on ebay and I almost got it. Mine came to $10.80 and was shipped with the wick. I got the 100 feet of wick and wire for $42.25 total. I couldn't remember my ebay login and I'll pay a little more for convenience. I'm tired. LOL!

So if I use 3 inches of each per coil and I use one coil per week (rounding up for shiggles), this will last me almost 8 years!!! I was buying the Vivi coils for $2.80 each thereabouts, and my homemade coils will be 10.6 cents each. Not too shabby! Of course I'll probably get vape happy so just round down to this lasting me 5 years...still a great deal.

The House of Vapor has a 10% code vf...but it only applied to my wire and not the wick which sucked.

It personally feels good to be stocked up.

They've been on sale off and on over the last week or so. I got tipped off when the satins went up. :)

And that's an AC9 on top. Goes really well with the satin finish on the Poldiac. The drip tip's from Super-T.
