Did I mention my Wire Rope came in?! That 1/8th looks HUGE and I have 25' of it.

I hope that is not a result of my mis-information to a question you asked about what size cable I used. Now I feel doubly bad...

Right now I've got a 1.9ohm coil built from what I think is 32 gauge on the rsst and a 2.3-2.4 coil built on the aga..
I want something like a 1.0-1.2 coil.. What size gauge do I need..??
Between me and a bud we have everything but 30 gauge... It's prolly 30 gauge isn't it

A 4-5 wrap of 28 gauge on an aga should give you 1 ohm.

Or, you could just twist the 32 gauge wire if you have enough of it. No need to buy yet another gauge. Twisted 32 will give you more or less the same results as 28 gauge.

No need to feel bad, Chak! I may have flipped the quantity I bought based on your info, but I still have more than enough of what I need to last me YEARS!!
You will find the 1/8 to be to big. I made the same mistake but I only bought a foot of it. If I decide to bore out wick hole then cool but I already opened them up to 1/8 and its still to big. I wanna get some 3/32 but haven't had the chance.

I fold in half, grip one end with pliers. Insert allen key into drill machine and loop the closed end of the wire over the allen key. Then you spin the drill machine till the wire snaps.. It comes out TIGHT!!
Since we're back on the coil wrapping topic, I successfully made a U wick with 400 mesh for my AGA T+. vaping some DIY 100% VG right now. I can't say it wicks any better than one straight wick though. Meh.
If you bought Kanthal ribbon wire from TEMCo, all their ribbon wire is due to ship in MID JULY. That may be your problem. Just a guess, but figuring they have nothing in stock to ship, that's why you haven't received a notice other than confirmation.
I believe we have enough wire on this thread to build a border fence across Mexico.
I was hoping to share the extras, but this is obviously not the place for that.
There is enough wire in this thread to flash vaporize a swimming pool.

Side note for clarity: I did not order ribbon from TEMCO, just regular Kanthal wire. That was 4 days ago, no word back from them since the order confirmation. I ordered 2 other sizes of Kanthal wire from them through Ebay, and got a tracking number in about 30 hours. ETA is in 5 more days. That's just weird.

It's only $6.51 worth of 30 gauge wire, and the order clearly stated "built to order in 4 weeks". I'm in no hurry to get 30 gauge wire. 29 and 27 gauge bought on Ebay will get to me in a few days.
I just find it odd that I could order Kanthal from TEMCo on Ebay and have it shipped out in less time than it takes them to withdraw the money from my debit card when ordering directly from TEMCo. I'm not really concerned at all, the order I placed from TEMCo's website will show up eventually. My intent in posting my experience was to advise everyone to look at their Ebay items and compare availability and prices to the company's website before ordering anything.
If you're dead set on getting TEMCo's Kanthal ribbon, I don't see any other option than waiting until July 12th.
Have you looked into getting ribbon from The Mesh Company? I know they're across the pond, and I don't even know if their ribbon is A1, but they do carry ribbon. I've got enough Kanthal wire in 4 sizes coming to me that I really can't imagine getting more in this decade.
