No orings, huh? They sent me spares orings. The drip tip didn't fit worth a crap. Worst fitting drip tip I ever saw. Always something with these clones.

Let us kow how your build goes.

I found the spares! A full set of o-rings, silica and Kanthal. I missed them in the distress of not being able to open the darn thing.

I did a build of single 28 ga, 7 wraps on 2 mm ID for a 1.3 ohm coil. Horizontal across the airflow hole. I followed RIP's video. Did you add that wick behind the positive lead like he did? I did that, but it seems like that's a bit much. Won't it tend to dry out fast? Or block the airflow?

Right now it's a nice vape on the ZNA Lite at 13W. First impression: it's not as moist and full as the Magma. That could be the single vs dual coils.

I did not put the cotton behind the leg thinking the same as you. I did not see it as helping.

Rip is a bit much . Maybe I'm set in my ways but why would an RDA need a flavor wick ? Seems redundant .

Retic, he didn't say why he put in there. Can't say it was a flavor wick. No idea what he was thinking. I watched that part several times to see if he said why he put it there and he didn't.

Dusty, I wasn't surprised either. Typical weird obliviousness. You'll be happy to know the ZNA is back in 18490 mode since the Veritas coil is single and not sub-ohm. :)

I'm taking out that extra wick now. Juice was popping through the drip tip.

I'm working a single coil and I've had no popping through the drip tip. But then I'm running only 10 watts. Maybe it is that goofy extra wick.

It looks so streamlined in 18490 mode. Almost makes me wish they didn't offer that ugly 18650 tube extension.

I can't see using the word " thinking " in conjunction with Rip at all . :) I would call any extra wick not run through the coil a flavor wick , a hold-over from my evil Kanger period . :)

He didn't say why he was doing it. Being new to RDA builds I thought it might have some good purpose. It didn't. It's better without it.

Well, Rip is a total spazz and drives me nuts but he's not an idiot. I'm not sure what he was thinking with that extra wick. I'm not convinced he was using it as a flavor wick.

I was kind of thinking what you mentioned...he wanted to cover the airhole so juice didn't go through it. But then that impedes the airflow so I don't know why he would want to do that either. Who knows. He was having a weak moment to be sure. I would think that would mute the flavor and defeat the purpose of having direct air flow to the coil.

Retic, have you heard of a release date for that SVD v2. Every site I check says coming soon.
If it takes much longer, I may just get the ZNA clone and call it a day... ;)

If you do get the ZNA clone, House of Hybrids has a list of upgrades they can do for a small-ish fee. They can put in an authentic Evolv DNA chip, which was the most costly (not small-ish). A way to get close to authentic without a big cash outlay all at once. Might be worth exploring. :)

Thanks LA, I'll definitely check that out.

Either way I go its going to be another week as my bank still hasn't updated my cards or my contact phone numbers for ibanking and I found out just today that they still have my old passport number on record and don't have my new one. The old passport was lost about 3 years ago during the big flood and I was sure I updated all my accounts with the new numbers. What their deal is, I don't know. Anyway, got that squared away today and hopefully I'll be able to buy online again next week.
