I just took a look at Qorax's KF4 thread and I'll say that the subohm version might be of interest to me . It depends on whether or not it's sold as such . If you have to buy the basic unit and then purchase additional parts to upgrade it , then no dice . I hate that nickel and dime crap . Their are too many alternatives available .

I'm trying to refrain from speculating. It's hard not to. I just get this feeling they are going to charge a lot of loot for that thing. My understanding (knowing I could be totally wrong), is that you order your Kayfun the way you want it. In other words, it's a buffet of options and you just check off what you want. But I'm not sure on that. Just going by what I briefly heard from someone who is probably taking a stab at it himself.

That is a nice size. I would think you would be a candidate for a Vapor Shark.

Agreed... This is the DNA 30 version for $120 on their website... the rDNA 40 is only slightly larger and uses replaceable 18650 batteries and is $190 wireless charging capable built in ( rDNA 30 is $170 but wireless charging is an add-on )

David, you seem to know more about the DNA40 than anyone. My understanding is the "boost" is really the temp control feature which requires nickel wire. If you use Kanthal, there is no "boost" -like feature. Is this true?

Perhaps you are right about the more power being delivered, but the volts fly up, then settle back down. It's fun and faster than the provari mini.

Hmmm...odd. Can't figure that one out. That sounds like a boost feature. That would be cool if you got it on Kanthal. Boost is awesome!

Next question. How does the DNA know it has nickel wire on it? Or is it just a resistance thing? It reacts accordingly to very low resistance and that it is nickel is of no concern to the DNA?
It knows because it's very smart :)

I think it has a lot to do with the nickel itself, although I hear it's been reading some Ti coils.
