That's pretty much the same way I understand it too David. The wattage setting is kind of unimportant in some ways. It's about the temperature.
It's either in regular mode using watts or TP mode using temp. Cannot do both simultaneously. Since I have no nickel wire I'm on watts.

Just read this "If you screw the coil into the tank section instead of the base you can fill it more."

Have you tried this? Would be a valuable tip to have on hand if it works.

Isn't it a pain in the backside to have to keep opening it up and top it off every couple ml? How long does two ml last anyway with the .5ohm coil?
Using a 3ml syringe with the coil screwed on it almost held 3ml. I didn't want to over fill it but it could have held a tad bit more. Still shy of 3ml.

Yo Retic, is there a trick to removing the wick in the Rose without pulling the coil all out of whack? You do use Rayon on yours, don't you?
The way I do the KFs is to clip off one end of the wick close to the coil, hold the coil steady with a fingernail and pull the other end. I got nothing small enough to cut the wick off inside the ceramic cup.
I'll have to get some needle nose scissors to cut the old wick off close to the coil. Maybe my moustache trimmers will fit in there. Sure is a bugger setting up. I'm seriously thinking to switch back to silica for this one just so I don't have to change the wick so often.

Another idea is just to dry burn it off.

Chak, I bought a really good pair of mustache trimmers just for my coil building toolkit. They work great, though I don't have a Rose atty, so YMMV.

Early this morning/ late last night (whatever you call it when you day starts at 11pm) I came across a post by our old friend Scarface, where she pretty well dismissed the Kayfun for the Youde AGA T5. As some one who still keeps an occasional eye on such things, I was wondering if anyone here has tried to set up an AGA T5 on a ProVari ?

No idea Pop. But once again, every time an atty is praised it is always compared to the Kayfun. That should tell you something right there. :)

Wish Scarfy would stop by and say hello.
