I've been playing with that.Crank up the watts...
The only thing about this coil is that it takes a couple seconds to heat it up, I expected that though as it has a lot of surface area.

Ya I think I figured it out! Turned the temp down to 400, watts up to 35, much better! It should not take long to heat up the coil. That was one of the benefits of the DNA40. Like April says, crank up the watts.

I just figured out if I build on something that does not put pressure on the screw head and don't tighten it hard on the flask it doesn't give me as many problems. It will be easier when I order in some replacement top insulator nuts.Good. I test everything at 40W. If it doesnt hit TP immediately it's wicked properly.
Glad you're finally enjoying it! Did you get the veritas all squared away?
Ya I am getting that now, it finally just sort of hit me. Thanks for the insight, it is a different way of thinking and will take some practice.Samuel, you need to rethink your DNA40. In temp protection mode, the temperature is what rules, not the watts. The chip is gonna find the temperature to settle at (according to what you set it at). It just uses the watts to get there.

Yep, I figured out how to baby the Veritas. Now if I can keep from running out of juice until I get some money life will be good.
At least I didn't lose my job, I am just without a paycheck for a couple weeks. I got an email from my bosses boss today, she said she doesn't want to lose one of her best agents and she put me on medical leave through next Wednesday and if I need more to call her.

What is the ohm reading on that coil in the pic above? (I see about 10 or 11 wraps) Looks nice though.I used 30 guage, 32 probably would have worked better to add another wrap and get a higher ohm.
