That is true and I'm sure Kiwi knows that. However, FT doesn't always tell you who the manufacturer is. In those cases, it can only be referred to as a FT.

Lol that exactly. Not sure how else I would've referred to it

I'd probably have called it an unknown brand clone from FT...

o_O

Well there are 5 - 6 listed on fasttech, and they are labelled as Type B, C etc so...

Anyways yeah I know FT simply sources and resells stuff. The reference is merely for ease of reference.

I'm pretty sure that if hcigar does do a clone of the v4, it will be a good one and who knows, maybe I'll get one some day or maybe an Aqua v2. Infinite, I believe, also has a good reputation for their clones, so I don't think I'll be disappointed. I'm also glad I made this decision and will let you all know how it turns out. :2cool:
I agree with you about the Infinite version Chak , I've got an Infinite Rose V2 and Magma and both are spot on , equivalent to Hcigar in terms of quality . The Infinite KF4's clones been getting good reviews . FT picked that up after I posted the link for the Hcigar . Smart move going with FT on this one , at least you get 6 months to return it if ya get a dud .

I'm still using a Vamo and a Kanger Pro Tank v.1 I have later upgrades of the Pro Tank, but always go back to the v.1 My Vamo v.1 died eventually, of course, so I picked up a Vamo 5 and love it just as much. I also have an iTaste SVD, which I despise. Maybe I'm OCD, but pretty much all I vape is CAT. It just works. And The SVD makes it taste not so good. For some reason, a Vamo, and the Pro Tank v.1 (or 2) is perfection.

The problem is the heads. I've found a nice voltage to make them last, but it would be great to be able to go nuts with the plumes every now and then. I've stopped using wattage all together, as it seems to run down the heads much more quickly, and with no benefit. 4.7-4.9 volts for a week and a week and a half, then ramp it up over 5.0v for a few days after before changing heads. Like I say, it works.

I'll be honest.. I'd love to be able to rebuild a head -- toss in a cotton wick, etc. But it seems fairly complex and time consuming to do with one of these heads that go into the protank v.1. Do-able, but not worth the effort for "eh, would be kind of neat to be able to ramp up the plumes."

I haven't been following many developments in the vape world for a while, but wanted to drop by and ask if there is some "easy peasey" kit to rebuilding heads for the protank. Or perhaps maybe even move on from the pro tank v.1 haha

Just tossing it out there in case anyone has any insight.

    Hope everyone is doing well.

Bodach , been there done that with rebuilding those tiny protank heads , they're a PITA . You're best bet is probably gonna be going with a RTA like a Kayfun , much more space to work in and simple , they just work . I know Kanger has the subtank out that allows you to use heads or rebuild but I'm not familiar with them and I've been done with the expense of buying heads for a long time , wick and wire is much cheaper and a coil in a Kayfun can last months , not days or weeks . Most of the Army is familiar with rebuilding a Kayfun and can help you out . Even Robin has gone that route for awhile now . :) I'm linking you to a high quality Kayfun clone from a trusted vendor . It will be a major improvement in the quality of your vape . HCigar Kayfun Lite Plus V2 Atomizer Clone

Basically 99.9% of the Army uses Kayfuns in one form or another , it will produce more vapor than a protank but it's not for cloud chasing , it's a flavor chaser , pure and simple . They're extremely reliable and a piece of cake to build , it'll match up with your Vamo perfectly . Really can't go wrong with the one I linked you to .
