I've missed a lot. How long ago did you get the heron? Do you like it? Using fluff or straight up? How hot you running it? I'm so behind. *********** I posted this after reading he first sentence and saw the word Heron. Then I read your post. My bad.
It's a nice atty , but I haven't settled on a build for it yet , I'm using it on my SVD so I'm not subohming it , I can go as low as .8 on that mod with it but I think the airflow needs to be opened up on it before I go that route with it , no fluff just straight up , I picked this up after reading your post about building yours without the fluff .

Bronze this thing holds a ton of juice for a dripper! To subohm you have to go with the authentic or modify the insulator on the clone. I havent even put a build on my clone but I use the authentic daily

What's the rave to me is it's cheap!!! :)
Got the vulcan, vortex and a free quasar counterfeit for 40$!! The vulcan goes for more then that new.. Sending out the quasar and the spirit rda this very moment to get bottom fed converted. Once I get the quasar back I'll take off all the engravings. Only way I'll use it..

I tried to wick it with Rayon and no fluff. The margin of error is so small it's not worth it for me. I started using fluff and it made it really nice. Cotton seemed to be more forgiving, but I didn't like the flavor compromise. The builds I'm doing on it Retic are done with 1/16" drill bits using .28g kanthal with 6-9 wraps, depending on what juice I'm sucking on. I think 6 wraps puts me at ~.5 and 9 puts me ~.8, if memory serves me. As far as the airflow, I have to close it at least half way on all the builds as the whistling sound coming from the full bore drives me bat.... .

I really shouldn't do this on the bike. The builds I was talking about are on the aqua. I'm running .8 on the Heron. My mind is wasted now, but I don't need to tell you how I get to .8.

    I need to quit drinking.

Yup , I'm having issues with the rayon compacting too much and I'm getting gurgling , no problems with cotton though , I may go back to that or try using rayon as fluff to see how thay works . And yeah mine whistles too .

I don't think the rayon would work good as fluff. If I'm thinking proper, it's too absorbent. It wouldn't or doesn't seem like it would drip down very well. That fluff I'm using, I don't use a lot of it, but it does a good job dripping down. Let's me use the rayon more better.
