I was messing around with X-Cel and made a quicky coil making program. Works rather well, pretty accurate.
you put in the dia of the wire, the diameter of the shaft the coil is wound on, the ohms per inch, number of wraps you want/need.

it gives you resistance for single, dual, tri, and quad coils ( being all coils are equally built) and will give you the length of wire per coil to get an approximation of wire needed to make coils. It even takes into account of the length of the legs of the coils to the posts too.

made 3 different sets using 30 and 28 ga. each... values fell within .05 ohms on each sample from actual and projected by program ( the actual was usually on the higher side than the projected, probably a good thing... built in safety factor)

I gots a shiney today. A Zenith Double Cross V1 clone and 2 Efest 2100 mAh 30A batteries. Truth is the A7 hits really good with the 30A battery. I knew my year+ old 650s were showing there age. Where's the pics ? I know better than to post something like this without pics. My first build was dual .8 ribbon with a 3/4 wrap came in at .2 ohm. Lower than I wanted but wow did it hit and it was hot. Redid it with 4/5 wrap and was .4 which is better. Still hits stupid hard and still hot but the flavor is better. Think I'll stop by the B/M again tomorrow and get a longer drip tip. That should help cool it down a little. The slots made putting a ribbon in real easy. And lastly when the B/M gets the HHV in I'm getting some lower nic for this thing. They're not getting Sludge this first order so may use the A7 for the rest of my current bottle or vape a little less.

I'm ready for some comedy. What better place than the hardware thread?

Time to dig through your bone boxes and take pictures of some of your old clunkers. We need some laughs.

Here's my first e-cig..a ProSmoke. Automatic battery (that lasted about an hour) and foam-stuffed cartridges that didn't work worth a damn. Ahahahahahaha...what a piece of crap!!!

It's a 35 watt chinese DNA 30 chip clone .

Ok got. Been a lot of talk lately about the DNA clone chips. But I haven't been following much because I've got the XPV on the way. And if I like the DNA well enough I'll buy the chip and build one that I don't have to worry about getting beat up.

I used one of the old ProSmoke batteries (which had the 510 connector attached to it) as a holder for my CE3's so I could wiggle the plastic tube off the base. CE3's will be the next one I dig out of my bone box for a few laughs.
