what would have been interesting is to see how fast the liquid would rise on the wick at the point of emmersion. Being that the KGD is "pre-formed" ( strands in close proximity of each other) may have given it a bit of an advantage in the capillary function, if the 4 samples were say put into straws to keep the density/volume equal across the 4 samples, there may have been a bit of a difference in wicking speeds....
in another wick test, there was a new solid ( white rod open cell looking) that had some pretty impressive wicking speeds... he didnt mention what it was since it wasnt released yet.
