Nope! Ed just likes to take his time and do his research well. If I remember correctly it took him around 3 months after I started raving about the KFL before he seriously considered it and then another month before he actually bought it. It's good to do your research instead of going all BANZAIII!! on every single item released. ;)
Agreed , but after looking at tons of gear you can pretty much visualize what will work and what won't offer an advantage , I haven't seen much in rba's that is game changing , but the Magma sticks out like a sore thumb as far as rda's are concerned .

I don't think it was that long but it was probably a couple months anyway. The first guy I knew who was a kayfun freak was X (David). In fact, he had his eye on the Kayfuns before they were even released. He dove in with both feet and was really amped up. He was a Kayfun veteran before any of the rest of us pulled the trigger. And yes, I had my time where I chased after all kinds of new gear, different gear, juices, builds, set ups, etc. It was fun. It's still fun, but at a slower (and cheaper) pace.

I started a new thread in case anyone is interested. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-vapes/602915-game-changers.html#post14123973

    Only single coil though right?!

Single or double. Whatever you want. There is one positive post and two negative posts (screws). If single, you can go vertical or horizontal. One thing that has surprised me is I have noticed many people prefer a single coil on these dual-coil-capable RDAs. They can't tell much of a difference.

The only thing I don't like is it forces you to build vertical , but it's definitely another Monster RDA with directed airflow .

Like I say, you can build a single horizontal. And truthfully, vertical is no issue for me. If you go dual on the Veritas you can make it from a single wire.

I make my duals on the IGO with a single wire , it was a PITA capturing the leads on separate coils , I tried verticals and didn't much care for them , they offered no advantage over horizontal coils , just more time consuming although verticals on the Veritas should be easier to rewick than verticals in a kayfun .

I don't know, I just see no big deal making vertical coils. In the whole scheme of things it is a minor detail.

Yeah it just comes down to preference but being lazy horizontal is my favorite position for coils and for my getting old body . :)

From what I can gather, there is a reason they made it a vertical coil build. They use that partial raised deck to channel juice so it makes it more leakproof. If the device is tilted or laid down, the juice goes into the vertical reservoirs before it goes in the air hole. Based on all the vids I've seen, you can still make it leak but it's not easy and if you pay even minor attention you can avoid it. You would basically have to overfill it and then tilt and roll to get it to go out the air hole. Also, you can fill the chamber with juice via the air hole.

Bronze , I took another look at the Veritas and I can't see any way of attaching a single horizontal coil , it looks like the center post runs through the airway , how would you attach it without running an extremely long lead or am I going blind ?

I gotta find that vid where he showed a single horizontal. Can't remember who did it. Even in that vid he made it harder than it needs to be. I see where it should be no harder than doing a Kayfun.

I just popped on youtube and there's a Riptripper vid of a single horizontal coil build on a Veritas , lucky for me there was a photo of the build in the description so I didn't have to watch him , it is done with very long leads so at least I know I haven't gone senile yet . :)

Yeah, that's where I saw it. Too bad he's such a spazz because it was a very good review. He talked about a 10-drop capacity. That is the dumbest damn way to describe capacity. Drops can have a wide range in size. I saw one vid and they guy counted 37 drops. Take your pick. The guy who designed it shoved 1ml of juice in there (through the airhole) and probably had room for more. Anyhow, Rip made that build a lot harder than it needed to be. i would build it the same way as a Kayfun. Wrap your coil on a drill bit first then attach the leads. He wrapped it against the device with one lead already attached. STUPID!!!!

This was another RDA I was looking at , at the same time as the Magma , no clone yet though and $120 for an RDA is too rich for me .
    http://www.vapinart.com/cart/Viking-Rda-P883.aspx

Dang four post! Yes, $120 for a dripper is over the top for me. I wouldn't mind paying $60 if it were a well-made dripper but $120 is off the charts. I paid $105 (w/shipping) for my first Kayfun but there were no clones or devices that were in the same league at the time.

I'm glad I didn't watch it . What's he using to drip with ? A turkey baster ! That thing holds a lot more juice than 10 drops , I read close to 1ml same as the Magma .

Really! He was using one of those glass in-the-cap drippers with the air bulb on top (yes, a turkey baster for all intents and purposes).. Those things make giant drops. QnJ comes with those style drippers (along with other vendors I've ordered from).

Yup and it's under coil directed airflow as well , maybe Hcigar or Infinite will clone it and yeah $60 is reasonable but $120 is not for me .
