BK has quite a few RDA's , some 28mm too , Tobh , Stillare , Caterpillar etc , etc and I've gotten to try them so I'm basing it more off of personal experience when I say there's a definite difference in flavor between the Magma and everything else he has , but I can't speak for the Veritas or the Viking but I would expect similar results between the 3 of those with the directed airflow , the RDA's without it hold little advantage over an IGO-W as far as flavor goes , some have adjustable airflow but the IGO-W is adjustable with a drill , and some have a slightly deeper well but all in all similar results without the directed airflow , so that's what I look for in an RDA , the deep well is a nice convenience too . Oh BTW when I'm out and about I rotate the AFC ring on the Magma and shut it off , I can lay it on it's side with no leaks but I have forgotten that I have done this prompting a WTH when I try to vape it .Seriously, when you come right down to it, there are lots of RDA options out there and my guess is many of them are very close in performance. When you watch a bunch of video reviews there is no consensus which tells me the differences are minor in nature.

In Todds Magma review he said the Magma had the Origen beat in vape quality .But then you watch a guy like Todd who has tried just about every dripper known to man and he puts Origen at the top of his list. Does it mean he knows what he's talking about? No. But it demonstrates that "to each their own" exists. It would seem to me that the air hole next to the coil is what intensifies the flavor (as you also point out). I'm definitely a flavor chaser. Prefer it much more than chasing clouds or massive throat hit. So something like the Viking, Magma, or Veritas would likely suit me best. At the same time, an Origen would probably not be hard to take either.

That's good business following up like that , God knows what tobeco did but I've seen , handled and vaped an example of their shoddy work , that was enough for me let alone the complaints on ECF , they simply produce junk , Hcigar moves slower than some of the others , probably a good thing if it's spent in preparation .Say Retic, VR got back to me. He went on a long rant about how VR tries to stock only quality stuff, blah, blah, blah. Then he got to my specific question about stocking a quality Veritas. He said there are some knockoff Veritas out there but they are all junk (or crap as he put it) and they don't want to stock the junk. They said they are waiting for one of their suppliers (like an HCigar or Infinite) to make one that is made from an actual genuine Veritas instead of a picture. Haha! I'm sure that's exactly what Tobeco did. They made theirs from a picture. He said it is just a matter of time before they get a quality Veritas. He told me he would keep me up to date (we'll see). But he was a nice guy and followed up for me so I have no complaints.
I'll say one thing about Todds reviews . I've always said that I'm not a precise builder but he's got me beat in the imprecise dept . I actually do make good looking coils but Todd looks like he's stringing a fence after a couple of six packs but at least he ain't hype .And then in his Veritas review (which was well after his Magma review) he said Origen is still his top RDA and all his Veritas comparisons were to the Origen. I always take what they say with a grain of salt because they get caught up in the moment. SpazzTripper said the Magma was the best too and then when he put together his top five list he had it at #4. It depends on what time of the day you ask them. I'm pretty sure I'd be equally thrilled with either the Magma, Veritas, or that Viking (if not others). For now, the Magma is a better choice simply because there are many clones that are far more affordable than laying out $120 for a genuine Veritas or Viking. But I'm not buying a dripper now so it's kinda moot.

I think I'm partly responsible for Bronze's research activity. I'm reading... Thanks![]()
LMAO...I was thinking the same thing. He's kind of the Julia Child of rebuildables. Not pretty to watch but the end result is good.
I pretty much enjoy Todd's reviews. Tripper would be good too if he'd bring it down a few notches. His content is pretty in depth but he drives me nuts! He acts like his beard is on fire. Watched a new guy I hadn't seen before...can't remember his name...Mod Sucks something or other. Just a kid. But he was OK I guess.
How about Scott (Igetcha69)?! I like his reviews as well. For me, Busardo is the best all rounder, sometimes a bit too detailed, but I'd rather more detail than Rip Jack Russell Terrier.
I've looked at it , Tobeco strikes or strikes out again , if Hcigar or Infinite come out with a non-plated version it'd be worth a looksee .Tell you what, if you want air flow options, you have to check out the Plume Veil. Air options from the top, sides, and through the negative posts.

It's gold plated on the inside , I've seen pics of the plating flaking off , it could be polished off with a dremel I guess but I'm not sure what chinese gold plating contains , it's not necessary to begin with IMO .I see that Plume Veil from Infinite at Vape Royalty is back in stock. Doesn't appear to be plated but not sure. Don't know how they can sell it for $22.
Yup that's what I'm talking about , the deck being plated , I've seen some nasty looking pics of that plating that looks like it almost dissolved rather than flake off , pretty sure those pics were the Tobeco version but how good can that plating be for that amount of money , if I was in the mood to play around I'd get one and strip it with a dremel . I'm hoping Hcigar or Infinite clones the Viking , that would be a builders playground too .Well the deck is anyway. The gold plating does not impress me either. There is no mention of the rest of it being plated though. But at $22 I'm skeptical.
