Sorry for the low quality, but here's my first build on the Magma. Ten wraps of 30g kanthal on a toothpick for a reading of 2.2 ohm. I'm filling it up with juice right now.

Voltron, where did you get that one? It looks like it's been modified to look like a Magma. However, the posts should be in the center like this...

I have a feeling it's the angle that the picture was taken at that's throwing off the perspective.

See how far back the posts look on my picture?

and yet, it's this same one:

Could be mister cameraman, but it sure looks like they're off center. Only the source can set us straight. :D

Yep. I stand corrected. The angle threw me off completely, but I have now seen my own at that angle. And it certainly wasn't a Veritas (dunno where that thought came from).

Oh, and I finally ordered a Veritas this morning! :) 10% off at henleyvape.com

BTW, I suspect the Veritas may spend a little time on my long lost Electric Angel, my first mech mod. It turns out that the EA that I thought had fallen overboard actually landed in an obscure place on my friend's boat. He found it shortly after rebuilding the engine (it's an inboard engine). That thing was in the boat for several months of very hot weather in a salt air environment. The battery was still around 4V and the KFL had a full tank. And it vaped just fine! I couldn't identify exactly which juice was in there, but it definitely had an HHV tobacco profile.

The mod didn't even require much clean up*. Apparently, the Finns used high grade SS for this mod. Makes me glad I use NO-OX-ID "A SPECIAL" anyway for SS threads and DeoxIT cleaner and shield for other contact points.

* I did NOT vape much out of the KFL, but gave it a thorough sonic bath before rebuilding it. It sits empty with a fresh coil & wick.

Cool story, Bimini! Maybe my Provari will find it's way back to me... someday.

Oh, man, I sure hope so.

I forgot about that. I just gave one of my two to that same "friend with a boat". After almost two years, he finally decided to step up from Egos - well, he has wanted to for some time, but the cost of the engine rebuild kind of got in the way. I still think he has his priorities straight ;)

Yeah, he deserves better than eGos. :toast:

:w00t: According to FedEx tracking, my ZNA has been picked up and is scheduled to be delivered back to me tomorrow. Not a bad turnaround at all!!

Not bad at all. And $70 for essentially a new and upgraded mod is not a bad price either. You know they're gonna give you a new chip set if they are converting from the 20 to the 30.

If I recall, you acquired your 20 just prior to the 30's release.

Yeah, I believe so, and they were not available anywhere unless you were literally stalking the sites.. gone in minutes when re-stocked.

20W was enough power for me, but I think I'm going to like some of the features they added to the 30, primarily the button lock-out so you can't change power accidentally.

When I bought my first HDTV it did not have HDMI ports. The first sets to have HDMI ports came out five minutes after I bought my set. :)

LOL.. Somebody shared some info with me today and said I should have waited before sending the ZNA in. There's a "game changer" on it's way from Evolv hopefully releasing shortly. ;)

There's always a "game changer" around the corner. :)

If you listen close enough, you can hear obsolescence grow. :)

This one could set the bar for the next few years. Wait and see! Beta testing in progress apparently.. ;)
