I somehow didn't hit the "Post" button on this one earlier...
My REO has been very bad to the batteries I've been using in it. Arcing, sparking, pitting, ruinous bad. Heck, the delrin/plastic thing next to the positive contact even got burned onto the positive contact blade thing. I've cleaned it up as much as I can, but it has really gotten weak. And I managed to have a magnet get flipped over while reinstalling it. I haven't been able to remove that magnet with any suggestion I've tried; boiling water, heat gun, soldering iron, acetone, freezing, . . .
I'm thinking I'll send it up to Maine for some reconditioning & repair.
