Finally got to play with my Rose Retic. Single coil around a 3/32 bit with .28g. Made it at 1ohm and put it on the P3. Split my wick and so far, I am ULTRA impressed with the flavor, throat hit and vapor. Time will tell if I did it right. I'm expecting some issues to have dialed in but so far, you're right again. Hit the gas and run her hot ! The only thing that gave me a problem was refilling through the top without closing the juice flow control and I flooded it , As long as I close it off there's no issues . Between the ceramic cup , peek insulaters and JFC it's perfect for subohm builds .

Haven't read anything on this yet and only know how to fill it from the top. Is there a reason the tool they send with it has a side you'd put the drip tip in, making it go upside down? I'm assuming it's got something to do with filling it. When I get done with RJs honey do list, I'll spend more time on it. Still loving this thing.

It can be filled top or bottom , you can also rebuild or rewick without draining it . The stand is a nice convenience for refilling , rewicking or rebuilding without emptying the atty .

Diggin it Bronze. First VV/VW of any kind. Been playing with RJs ZNA Lite as well. They're kind of changing my mentality to vaping. Like, why do I even need a mech?

Are you using the boost feature on that P3? If so, tell me what your build is and what setting you have that boost on?

Truthfully, I MUCH prefer a regulated vape over a mech. Mechs look nice and were useful before DNAs came about but nowadays they just don't make sense to me.

.8ohm, .26g on a Kraken with mesh. Yes, using the boost on B2 whatever that is. (I'm still learning this thing). There is no "warm up" on it. It's instantly a good vape.

That's what I wanted to hear. I hopped on the Provari thread (which I NEVER do) and asked how much the boost is elevating the power. No one knows (yet). Those settings are how long the boost lasts. A B2 is 0.5 seconds. But how much the power increases for those 0.5 seconds is unknown. I'm trying to figure it out. All I know is it wont exceed any of the provari's limits (watts, ohms, volts, amps, etc...). I'll let you know if/when I find out.

Hey guys, my KFL+ clone arrived today exactly two weeks after I placed the order. :) I set it up in nano mode and it seems like it's the perfect size for me. I still haven't built my first coil on it, but willl once I watch a few youtube tutorials. I hope it hits as well as the KFM. So far I notice it's basically the same thing but with two screws on the bottom. I'm guessing one is a fill hole and the other airflow control. I'll know once I watch a few videos on it.

Anyway, I've been having some issues with my Eleaf iStick. It seems to run hot when fully charged even at the lowest settings. After an hour or so of vaping it seems to level off, and then it works perfectly. I was planning on buying a couple more of them but will hold off until they come up with a newer version which hopefully will address the issue. It's a bummer because it's perfectly sized. I'll probably get another MVP2 instead now.

I wonder if that is common. Did you hop on the iStick thread and ask if others have the same experience?

Yeah, I've heard the same thing from several people here, including billherb. I noticed it more when using a lower ohm coil (1.5-1.6). I hear the issue is more common among low voltage/wattage vapers, since it seems to work fine on higher settings.

I agree the Isticks run a little hot....I don't have any issues with my set ups and I like vaping around 4.0 volts. I run 1.8 - 2.0 builds so can adjust without issue. I also use Nautilus Mini or Aero Tank which allows me to mess with the air flow...tried an Evod with the same coil 1.8 and it was nasty...assume it's because there is no air flow adjustment.

As has been reported in many places... the iStick is using PWM output and it is using vAVG instead of vRMS to calculate what the setting shows you. This is the same issue that was seen years ago when PWM devices were first becoming popular... on the Vamo ( called simply AVG and RMS on these devices ), the issue was resolved with the v2 model which included both the AVG and RMS setting.

In reality... vAVG isn't wrong per se... it just isn't the same amount as what you'd experience with a pure DC output device at the lower settings and the difference is less as you increase the voltage output... they should have used vRMS which similates the value that someone vaping on a pure DC output device like a Provari, DNA ( China DNA ) or similar device.

In most cases... you can simply adjust the output to what feels right to you ( lower voltage )... in reality, you should do that anyway. The only problem is at the lower voltage settings you may not be able to adjust down further in some cases.
