Dual 28g 5/64 micro installed on the Aqua V2.

0.7 ohms. Loaded her up with 100%VG 3mg Pirates Booty. Lung hitting it at 18W 3.6v on the Sig 100.

Similar build to what has been working like a charm on the Magmas.

. . .
In the box to be eventually thrown away
2 Broken Protanks and about 20 coils ( used but clean)

Remember when Protanks were all the rage? It was, supposedly, the greatest invention since lubricated condoms.

Then I bought a couple of them and wondered how a gurgle machine could have gotten so popular.

Protanks had their time in the sun. The stock coils sucked. They were one of the first coil heads that I started rebuilding, and I built a LOT of heads for the ones I had.

... the gurgling was caused by a few things ( not counting the clone crap )...

Too thin of a e-liquid ( for obvious reasons )

E-liquid that was heated up and became thin ( like leaving it in a hot car )

Vape style the user has... Pulling on it with hard or fast pulls affects the vacuum in the clearo resulting in it being over or under pressured and getting pushed into the head )

Letting the e-juice get too low in the clearo. The vacuum is lessened when the level gets low and then the juice can enter the head because there is nothing holding it back ( enough )

... another issue I'm not counting/including because it happens with about anything with a wick... letting it set for a long time, the wick continues to do its job resulting in the head being overfilled by the e-juice.

Used the 'jam the bottle and suck the e-liquid back into the bottle' method, saved 2ml of DF. Wanted to lower the resistance on my coil in the HCigar / P2, so I had to remove the e-liquid. Using same 30g, 3/32 in. coil, I just unwrapped three coil and reset for 1.5 ohm instead of 2.3, thus getting the vapor production I wanted. Only problem was my 'Official ProVape' tank ring didn't work afterwards - P2 wouldn't fire with tank ring in place. So I took a metal file and took off the paint / took down the top of ring slightly (grooves half gone) and now I am back to happy vaping. :vapor:

Any dry hits? Wicking problems are a concern with any tanks using 100 VG..I don't even squonk it. Slow flowing through the tube. That's why I ordered my Booty in 70 VG. Drip or squonk still plenty of clouds and flavor.

That "fix" got me only so far Pop. Keep this fix in mind if it rears its ugly head again. I have the same beauty ring (if that's the one you're talking about). I got mine from Dust as well. Just take a couple medium hits with another hammer to that flat washer.

No dry hits. I finished the 4ml tank last night.. and loaded up new wicks this morning at work for a tank of River Bottom Fog Sauce - Porch Rocker. 60/40 PG/VG blend of Burley, Virginia, Latakia, Flake, and Perique.

Dropped it to 15W and it's been working like a charm!

I sent him the Sotong Ring. I don't have the Official Provape one. Funny enough, I've never had to "adjust" my Sotong Rings on either of my Provari. They've always just worked..
