Papaw's post about his wicking woes in the KFL + started a chain of events for me . I got to thinking about how thick Clay's 100%VG is and the thought popped in my head that the Rose with it's 4 huge juice slots would be ideal for it especially if I opened the juice control up , then I thought if I could pack the ceramic cup with rayon I could really open up the juice flow control on it . Bingo , the light bulb went on , vertical coil build . 8 wraps of 26ga at 2.4 mm ID , came out to 1.1 ohms . Cut a strip of rayon and circled the coil packing it into the ceramic cup . Soaked the wick , filled the tank with 100%VG Berry Baille and opened up the JFC . vaping like a freight train with no dry hits ! I had a mental block about vertical coil builds because I saw no advantage over a horizontal build in the kayfun and it unnecessarily complicated the build IMO , but there's definite advantages in the Rose especially with thick juice and rewicking is greatly simplified . Funny how Papaw's post led to this . PM sent to Chak because he doesn't follow this thread consistently .

I remembered this morning that I have a $100 Visa my daughter gave me for Christmas to use on Vaping supplies. I still might go get that brass BF Cyclone w/ Cyclops AFC at Indy Vapors. I am also considering just go back to Rob and get an LP RM2 and either an RM3 or RM4. Heard a lot of good things about the RM4. Trouble is, Rob's site is like play land to me: There is a Grand rebuild kit, with video tutorial, for $25 where Rob shows how easy it is (for him) to switch an older Grand over to the newer contacts (Sparkey ?). Never hurts to have spare door magnets, juice well O-rings....
I have an older RM2 that I've kept as a spare. Today I decided to open up the air hole. I think the standard air hole is 1mm (pretty sure on that). Using a Variable Speed Drill set at 'crawl', I carefully opened the air hole to 1/16th (1.58mm). Whoa ! Talk about a big change form a small adjustment. Tons of vapor, makes the standard RM2 seem like sucking a dinner mint through a straw. Whatever loss of flavor, if any, seems minute. It's making my Kayfun seem weak, and only the Veritas comes close. I am not ready to drill all of my RM2's (YET....) but sure seems to improve what was already a nice little RBA
Well see Papaw the beauty of the Atomic(RM4) is the adjustable AF ring. Can build single or dual coils..whatever you decide on the smaller chambers seem to have the best flavor imo.
