Wow Brett, that is fantastic!

Once I tried the Reo, I'm thinking the other stuff is gonna be taking a back seat. Still like mechs, but the Reo has really been my favorite. I wish I had started with it. You live, and learn. I am seriously considering selling my guitar to get a Reo, or Woodvil. I've had the guitar for years. It's nothing fancy, but it is a decent acoustic guitar. Perfect for a beginner.

I think they were called 88's, no?

That is one thing they pointed out in these tank battle shows. Once the cloud cover passed those Panzers were sitting ducks. Our P51's just creamed them.
Yes the 8.8cm Flak Gun (anti aircraft) Rommell so skillfully used as an anti tank weapon first in North Africa...Very versatile cannon and way farther advanced than anything we had..Could take a tank out easily at 1000 meters.

I don't know if I'd go that far for a Reos. They are sweet, for sure. I'd say keep the guitar and try to save $10 a week or so. Rob is always making more so availability won't be a problem.

I haven't used the Reo I got from Papaw other than using it for a few test sessions. Sigh!

I use that black P2 a couple times a week,mostly on weekends. Will be setting up the Veritas w/ vertical coil on that mod this weekend to test DIY flavors.

First Impression of FT Veritas;
Cheap. Very cheap. The hand held weight alone signifies this is a far cheaper clone than the Ehpro Veritas. Poor machining, but nothing a few moments with a small diamond dust round file can't correct. Also, the center post / positive conductor is slightly off center. Hopefully this will not lead to any arcing issues.
Most definitely a $7 RDA.

    Wonder if they changed suppliers , the one I have is perfect , not as heavy as a Magma but definitely solid , if it gives you any problems or you think they sent you the wrong one , send it back . I know it's just 7 bucks but it's the principle of it . I raise hell with them if I think something ain't right .

    Continued thoughts on FT Veritas;
    After a 10 minute alcohol soak and a 10 minute boil, I built a single vertical coil, 10 wrap of 28g, @2.0 ohm by MMT and 1.9 ohm per P2 readout. Using KGD Cotton wick.
    This thing leaks like a sieve. The top cap nearly falls off it is so loose. The utmost care and caution must be used to keep upright at all times to keep e-liquid from pouring out around the base. I swapped top caps with the remodeled Ehpro Veritas I got from Chowderhead, and that top cap is just as loose. It appears the base has been over- milled. Perhaps swapping out O-rings, if I can find suitable replacements, would help.
    The center post / 510 connector is slightly long. Even with a beauty ring it mates hard to the P2 I am testing it with. By contrast, I remove that ring to mate to the KFL+ V2.

    All of that being said, this vapes like a Veritas. The Vapor Production and Flavor are very good. Because the top cap is so loose, dripping is easy - just pop off the top cap, drip and replace top cap. Cannot drip by removing drip tip, top cap come off with it.
    On a good note; I think I have nailed my 'Twinkie' recipe. It is rather tasty in this RDA.

    Bottom Line - It is as advertised, a $7 Veritas.

    Send it back Papaw , it's not right , mine doesn't leak at all , the topcap doesn't budge , I have to lube the o-rings on mine to get the topcap on , and the machining is spot on , I can lay it in any position without a hint of a leak . Send that back , don't let'm get away with it .

    Sounds like you took a gamble and came out about even (money spent:quality received).

    FYI the Achilles is titanium (even the clone says it is too) so that will be light. Any news on that?

    Shipped. Probably in US Customs by now, just waiting for it to show up...

    OK, I have complained quite a bit about the quality (Intentionally spelled with a small case 'Q') of this $7 Veritas. Now it's time to give credit - It does exactly what I bought it for. I can change wick / flavors in under two minutes. That's not an exaggeration.
    This 'dripper' concept is quite foreign to a devoted Reonaut, but this little device will allow me to 'test' small samples of DIY mixtures quickly and easily. This is why I purchased the FT Veritas to begin with.

    I find the Veritas as easy to build and rewick as any other device I own, maybe even easier since it is a pull cap instead of a screw on cap.

    BTW, our Achilles are screw-ons. Kind of unusual for a dripper.
