Here is a copy of the email I sent to MA Health Board. I'd like to convince anyone who's new to the site or new to vaping, if you like these products, fight for them.

"Hello,

I appreciate the time taken to read this in advance.

On August 12th, 2013, you will decide on the legality of the sale of electronic cigarettes for your jurisdiction. I would implore you to continue to allow the sale of these devices, their repetitive accessories and the liquid used in such devices.

A ban of these items while still allowing the sale of cigarettes will communicate not only a hypocratic leadership, but disregard for the interest of your constituents, and a disregard for the well being of their families and peers.

Electronic cigarettes are an alternative to cigarettes for MANY former smokers. Without them, they would be left to return to cigarettes or the current methods of cessation, which many have tried without success.

Further, there are no medical reasons to ban the sale of these items. There is no study I know of suggesting the use of e-cigarettes to be worse or even as bad as cigarettes.

A return to cigarettes would most certainly provide a negative impact on the individual, those affected by the second hand smoke, and eventually place strain on the friends and family of an individual returning to use of a product they so desperately worked to avoid.

I myself have successfully transferred from cigarettes to an electronic cigarette. I feel better. I feel better about myself because I do not smell unpleasant after using my device. I no longer need to worry about indirect effect of my using such a device on those around me. I even save money, money in turn put back into the local economy, not some tobacco companies safe.

Please make the decision to allow the continued sale of electronic cigarettes, their accessories, and the liquid they use.

Sincerely,

Taylor Z."
