What fun it was at the taping of the "special assignment" news segment today, starring our own Vicks & Velvet!
These two ladies did awesome. Articulate is an understatement. My only fear is they did so good, when smokers &/or their loved ones see the story, they are all going to rush out to buy and suck all our favorite suppliers dry!
I had my camera along but I forgot to take pics, we were having such a good time.
They shot the story in the outside seating area between Caribou Coffee & Jimmy Johns. Needless to say, everyone insides was watching with interest as to what in the world they were filming.
The funniest part of the morning occured when the reporter was stepping aside to do a 'solo shot' (or what ever it was called). Two ladies walked out of Jimmy Johns, and maybe Velvet or Vicks remembers exactly what she said, but it was something like "I almost brought you ladies out something to eat...you must have the munchies by now!!" LOL
After the media left, we hung out, ate, drank (coffee) and chatted for a while longer. I thought it was a wonderful time and it was nice to finally meet Velvet & see Vicks again.
We were told that it would probably air in a couple weeks (mind you, this day has been at least 6 weeks in the works! LOL), so I'll be sure to let everyone know when it's due out!

For Velvet & Vicks;
When I got in the car & punched in my eye doctors office, I discovered I was only 10 min away! SCHWEET! Even better, it was really easy to get to. Surprise! I do in deed have an eye infection, but he said that he was sure it was caused by another infection that had spread to my eyes. He then recommended that I go see the GP, as he was pretty sure it was caused by my sinus'. My GP wasn't in, so it was walk-in time! I must admit, the wait wasn't as long as my normal Dr. and she put me on antibiotics and Musinex D.
So, that's how I spent the rest of my day. I so can't wait to feel better tomorrow!! LOL
