Lingering room scent?

Being new to this, I have a question for the old timers - Does frequent use of a e-device in a room leave a lingering room scent? We all know how cigarettes can leave a room smelling of cigs for ages, and the room where I do most of my pipe smoking is going to smell like pipe tobacco for a decade or two (Not a bad thing, IMO!). But I'm just wondering if there's any sort of scent impregnation from ecigs, over a long term. When I'm puffing on my epipe, my wife says the back of the house smells like vanilla, but the odor is gone fifteen minutes later. It doesn't seem to cling in the way that tobacco odors do. Is this an accurate observation, or will my study smell like Dark Chocolate a year from now?

I notice an odor...sometimes it is a little like someone burnt a piece of paper...I mostly drip so, no, I am not burning up my cartos ! LOL I also notice that one juice company in particular really leaves that smell....when I come home I still smell it. We have never smoked in the house but I vape in the house.

I never smoked in my house, but since I started vaping I use it in the house all the time, and my family has never complained. That was more than 6mo ago. As a side note my wife has the nose of a blood hound, and she says all of the flavors leave a pleasant smell that dissipates quickly, so no problem here.

Yep, I love playing the guessing game with friends. Like you said, they rarely get it right, but always close.

What about tobacco flavors, do they smell like well, tobacco? (I don't vape tobacco)

My son smells it when I vape. If I'm vaping a fruit flavor, he will say it smells like "such and such fruit" when I am in fact vaping a different type of fruit.

It's weird how he can tell its fruit (or sweet or whatever) but never gets the exact flavor right.

Maybe he has been around me for too long:unsure:

I never smoked in the house, but I vape in my study (the mancave). When I'm using tobacco flavors, especially RY2, RY4, and 555, it's really strong even the next day. I keep a window fan going to help alleviate it so my wife doesn't jump on me. With fruit flavors it just smells sweet and I don't have to worry about it. I'll be stocking up on fruit flavors for the winter.

I got the ultimate compliment last week during a visit to our local pipe & cigar & microbrew & wine shop. Give that combination of things in stock, plus huge quantities of pipe tobacco sitting in bales all over the place, it already smells fantastic in there - I've always loved buying stuff there because their bags smell incredible when you get them home. Anyway, even in competition with the normal smells of the shop, I was in there the other day puffing my epipe up at the counter, and a woman came in and positively went rapturous over how good my smoke smelled, and what in the world was I smoking that smelled so good, etc etc. (It was VapeSafe's "Cream Dream", IIRC) So, things like that give me hope that I won't have to deal with tobacco-sensitive people fussing about lingering smells.

it lingers in the drawer where you store your stash, wafts out every time I open it up! some kind of sickly sweet smell.

Yes, I've noticed that and it seems a little troublesome to me. Although I keep my stash in my home office the door is open much of the time and it seems to seep out to the other areas of the house. All I do is spray some orange spray once a day but I would love to hear any suggestions on how to keep the stash smell more isolated. I use a small covered bin for most of it.

I keep all my e-juice and things in a tackle box, is inexpensive and has small dividers to keep all your supplies separated for easy use. You can also buy some that you can put a lock on if you have small children, so that they can't get to the nicotine which can be poisonous if ingested.

What an amazingly cool idea. I've been sitting here looking at all this stuff all over my desk and wondering how to best store all these tiny bottles and such. Thanks for the tip!

My wife and kids have noticed a 'smell' with pretty much anything/everything I've vaped.....but while I'm vaping it.

I don't hear anything from them in the morning or during the day while I'm gone about smelling the flavor of last night.

I did have one "brand" of marb that was very strong (even to me) that no one could stand but that was it and again, gone by next day.
