I started vaping a while back. After a few months, I got this (almost like) a canker sore/fever blister on my upper and lower lips, right where I put the mouth piece to vape. At first, I though it was the juice ingredients (even though it has a higher VG content) so I switched to a different vendor. It still comes back off and on. This morning I woke up and the bumps were pretty big, but they have calmed down.

Then, a couple of weeks ago, I developed a crack on my bottom lip that bled, exactly like the one I developed when I tried to quit smoking a few years back and used a lot of nicotine lozenges. I'm attributing that to the occasional juice I get on my lip from my vivi nova.

Does anyone else have these annoying issues? Is it just from the juice getting on my lips?

Haven't had this issue, but saw it somewhere else on the post. Kind of a weird question but do you lick/bite your lips? I know vaping can dry you out so possibly the lips as well. Maybe you are "wetting or licking" your lips and not realizing it because they are slightly dry then possibly transferring nic/juice on them?

Just a thought...

Yea, I try to drink as much as possible...always have a glass of ice water on hand. They also feel like hives sometimes like if I eat something that's spicy. Maybe I am allergic to any PG. I've been vaping MBV and Fuzion, but from what I've heard, Fuzion has more VG than PG.

Check this out. It's very informative.

Mouth/lip sores are very common after quitting smoking. I just got over a bout of "quitters cankers" last week. They started under my tongue and were spreading toward my lips. They went away before they actually got to my lips though. Hope this helps.

I got a sore on my lip from juice condensation on outside of the cig-alike I started with. Slapping a friend tip on the cig-alike solved the problem. You might want to try a knucklehead tip which should block any juice path to the outside of drip tip. A donut tip should also do the job. Trippy Tips has some donut tips but they aren't inexpensive.

I realized I didn't say the sores were inside my lips, but the crack is on the outside.

Had'em. Used chap stick for a week and cleared it up. Doesn't seem to be a huge problem around here. Just learn to lick n wipe the eliquid off often...............

I usually use olive oil or coconut oil for chapped lips, but, I will certainly buy something like burts bees to at least seal the crack. I will need to get something for the inside of my mouth as well.

What kind of atomizers do you use? Plastic tips? It could be...

I use vivi novas. Maybe the tips are an issue. I have a bad nickle allergy, so who knows...

Thanks everyone, I'm surprised I'm having such an issue like this. If the juice getting on my lips is the culprit, you would think more people would have this problem since I have seen so many threads on leaking/gurgling, etc. Right now no inside mouth sores, but, this crack isn't healing...I need to get some kind of chap stick or balm for it.

I got cankers in the beginning and it turned out it was the sweetener Ethyl Maltol aka Cotton Candy that I was sensitive to. Stopped vaping any juice with that ingredient and cankers went away in a few days. Gave it to a friend and they had no issues.
Don't forget to drink lots of water as vaping is extremely dehydrating.
When I was younger many times had to work outdoors in minus minus 20-30 Celsius. I used Propolis on my lips before, during and after the workday. Realize if you're allergic to Bee stings there may be a reaction.
