Good for you and I'm glad you see the light. Also watch for mods that do not have a kill switch, which the SD, Prodigy, GG, Janty Stick and many others do not.
Glad your OK, Wow... How can anyone avoid this other then buying protected bats?
Scary stuff!!!
I'm certainly pleased Nico posted all that stuff about the batteries on her mod thread, and my mod has protected batteries and an on/off switch. heck I don't know what I would do if one exploded near me! Glad everyone is ok..
This is why I am so outspoken about using protected and why the modders' forum now requires that any step by step instructionals demonstrate and advocate protected batts.
Are mods using CR2's no longer allowed? When did this happen and what about the juice boxes and magnums all over these forums?
To my knowledge you can still post mods with nuclear warheads for batteries if you wish, but if you are going to give step by step instructions that can be followed by a 5 year old, you should consider that a person with the common sense of a 5 year old might actually attempt that mod and you should be responsible about which batteries and switches etc. you instruct them to use. Mods are still popping up with unprotected batteries and no one is telling them not to post their mod or not to talk about unprotected batts or even trying to make them feel guilty about which batts they used.
Ahh OK...that's much better. Proper warnings to indicate any dangers is always preferable to arbitrary declarations.
Queen and eskimo....I am so Glad you are both ok...we cannot afford to lose any members of the forum due to unprotected batteries...or protected ones minus the kill switch!! Please everyone use extreme caution!!!...and thanks to Sun..Nico..and Lucky also!!My mod has no kill switch and I had it in my purse the other day (not sure why...I never do that) and of course the button was pressed and it was on for quite sometime. Long enough to melt the cartridge and smell AWFUL!! It is scary stuff!! I AM using protected batteries though. Thanks to Nico, Sun and Lucky
Glad you weren't hurt, eskimo!
Lucky...I will side with you every time when it comes to being an advocate for safety!!!Thanks Wiz, many want to minimize my thoughts and even mock me on this forum, which is extremely immature and obvious, but my vote goes towards safety first for everyone!
Lucky...I will side with you every time when it comes to being an advocate for safety!!!The Wiz!
