Little guidance

Decided to go with a clone for my first set up to see if it's for me the whole full mech no regulation vaping/ I bought IMR 18650 and 18350 batteries. I have a trident rba. I guess I want to be directed to a blog/post something that can help me understand the resistance and battery guidelines. For instance I just want to get around 1-1.2 ohm builds and I know how to do this on my trident but It's still a little cloudy as to how much power the device will pull and what's "safe"

make sure you get a multimeter to check ohms on your builds and volts on your batteries

remember unregulated means no safe fall back on batteries being installed wrong/upside down or over discharging your batteries (low ohms will go through batteries charge quicker on a mech)

DO NOT TRY STACKING BATTERIES IN A MECH to try and get longer battery life - just get a plastic battery case and carry spares with you (number them so you know which one is which

Either read and fully understand Ohms Law, resistances, amps,watts, C value of batteries before you dive in or have someone who has experience set it up for you and show you in detail how its done. Miswrapping a coil on mechs can be frustrating, distasteful, and with the improper battery, give you more excitement than you will want.

^ This ... honestly, I feel so frustrated, even borderline angry when I see threads like this .... How about get the knowledge first, and the equipment second. To have a mech, and RDA in hand, yet you are not "sure" how to do what is needed to get these devices to function properly, and without hurting your equipment, or yourself is just

These are both ADVANCED devices, which should only be used by experienced vapers ... as I am 1000% positive that the item listings for your gear stated, from whatever vendor you purchased them from.... pure madness!!

as to how much power the device will pull

read the blogs
use this calculator - enter 4.2v for a fully charged battery and your resistance. it will give you the amperage you are pulling.
Ohm's Law Calculator
and always keep the amp draw within the limit of the battery you are using

Thanks thrasher. I'm not trying to come off as someone who shouldn't be doing this. I am grown and fully aware of the dangers all I wanted was someone to point me toward battery limits.

Imr 18650 has an amp limit of 16.
Using ohms law if I want to run a 1 ohm coil and use said battery, at 4.2 volts the amp output is 4.2 to as well while the wattage goes to 17. I'm not trying to go sub ohm I just want it around 1. With battery and the 1 ohm coil I am safely within the batteries capabilities?
