Yessir. Tough to find much input (to date). I've been tracking it since its announcement, and would like to see it grow some legs before jumping. I took a similar approach with the Billet Box, and #1 wasn't purchased until 10.5 months had passed.

Might you know things, Alden? If so, I'd LOVE to hear them. You may convo me if you don't wish to clog up this thread.

Just pulled the plug on a red coolfire after seeing that there will soon be colored glass for the subtank mini, and the red looked awesome! Ugh. I'm losing my mind, and space to put all of these things. (BUT, I do think one of my 20W isticks is getting funky)

I don't think I know any more than you. I've been following this as well. I love my Innokin VTR but it's kinda large, heavy and limited to 15W. The XvoStick looks like a much better VTR. I am unlikely to spend $225 on a mod however. But I never say never...

Yeah - it's not an easy decision, that's for sure. We'll see. I'd like to get Kitty's opinion on the smaller stuff before doing anything, which I hope to later.

Thank you, Sir Kent. Perhaps I will have to open Heaven's gift then. The 36w and the 25w are/were the same price.

Also, Ms. tea, you can get the black waves "pre-36" watt at Vaping, Electronic cigarettes, vape shops, vaping supplies for a bit more dollars.
I don't know if it is the same thing, but "aqua vapes" (there is a 25% off code in deal and steals) has a pocket defender 36w in black carbon fiber (and 2 other colors) on the site. With the discount code it seems like a good deal, but I don't know about the company or the device.

I think you'll like it and I will be checking this thread to hear your opinions.

The red is kind of a deep royal:

Jeez, Kat. You really DID go "Reader's Digest" on me. Less, even - not even a single WORD?

;)

Geeze, I went literal on ya. Not used to that from women, are you. ;) Here, have 10 words.

Thanks, Cap'n.

I don't share Phil's "button-placement OCD" at all. In fact, I use the SX Mini and the IPV Mini interchangeably, and couldn't even tell you where the dang buttons are. As long as I can push it, I'm fine.

Speaking of which, I'm very curious how it stacks up size wise with either of the two "Mini" devices I mentioned. If it's smaller, I've got reason to jump. If not though, I have to think about it a little more. Does anyone have both (CF4 and either Mini)?

I like the on/off buttons too. I've only got two mods that have them, but I also find them to be quite useful, especially the way that I use mods.

I'm still thinking we should do it (@Katdarling), but I'd like to know your opinion, since you said absolutely nothing (literally) after watching PB's vid.

I actually experimented with the IPV mini, which also longs for the button placement to be on the top rounded corner (according to Philipo). Using it that way, the mod actually started to feel like it was slipping out of my hand. There's simply the wrong equilibrium, or less equilibrium (if in fact there are degrees of equilibrium ). Holding it and firing the button where it is, gives the proper balance of grip. For me. Sorry Mr. B.

I would also LOVE to see some more comparison pics of the CF4, and yes, with the SX and/or IPV mini!! Someone? Anyone?

Ok, Longo, stop buggin' me kiddo. What color(s) are we getting? I'm still leaning towards the perky purple. I'm not sure that's my final answer tho....... can I call a friend?

pokes, congrats. The red is sensational, and actually would have been an option for me as well, but alas, I'm covered in red mods.

Thank you! I'm wondering tho..... "Pocket" Defender? I'm guessing it's a Heatvape clone.

1. Marvelous, you. Truly marvelous.

2. Purple. I say purple too. But I don't know - do you like purple? It IS kinda "perky", and "perky" is good. Speaking of which -

3. Did you wanna get a Pocket Rocket TOO? Is that the name? I guess we can swing that, if you REALLY want it.

4. Should we send help to those red mods lifted up off ya?

5. Sorry, Phil, but I'm going to have to go with Kat on this one. The button is probably just about where it should be. Is that a subjective thing? Because I hear that taste is subjective, so maybe button-placement is too?

Kat - I'm looking at the ipv mini v2. What do you think of it? It may be time for me to have a couple of mods with external batteries. [emoji15][emoji5]️

pokemom, I like it, but I'm not in love with it. It's got the typical pros and cons. It's quite a bit on the heavy side of heavy, but it is beautiful in design and operates flawlessly. It's VERY prone to scratching and the battery seems to run down far more quickly than it should (but that is most likely just me and what I'm thinking about the run time). It's fairly hand comfy considering it's larger than a 'Stick 30, and the button placement is just fine thank you very much. ;)

I wanted it for the same reason. I definitely thought it important to have a few more mods with non-fixed batts.

I would love your opinion too. Looking at smaller (more than 30w) mods with replacable batteries. Any recs?

I LIKE IT! :D

It's very comfortable and it performs nicely (for me and my tootle-puffin' ways). It seems to burn batteries a LITTLE more quickly than some others in the category, but not in an obscene way. Just slightly faster. Besides, with the battery door not requiring a coin, it's very easy to swap out if you need to.

It's a slippery mod but a nice carbon-fiber wrap takes that right out of play.

Please note that Kat's opinion may vary, and may also be more valuable than mine since it's neither tiny nor particularly light.

But thanks for asking! ;)

I got an IPV mini based on a recommendation from this thread, and I really like it. It is a little heavy, but it performs beautifully. I get about the same battery run time out of it at 25 W (Subtank) as I get from my Provari at 12.5W (Nautilus). You will definitely want a skin for it, both because of its slipperiness and to protect its poor paint job. My fire button, which was black, is now naked. Unfortunately I dropped it one too many times, and it's headed back to the shop...

In the meantime, a friend is looking for her first mod. She's been using cig-a-likes, and wants more cloud, but similar ease of use. She tried my Spinner with a Nautilus and wasn't impressed, so I gave her the IPV mini set-up to try and she loved it. But she is not going to want to hassle with replaceable batteries, doesn't want a "fussy" atomizer, etc. She only vapes unflavored, so that makes it easier. I was thinking along the lines of an Egrip, but that's only 20 W. Is there any other fixed-battery "all in one" like that that is higher-powered? I would have said an iStick 50W, but not the way they've been behaving. Any suggestions?

I "looked it up". It does appear to be a "re-branded" Heatvape Defender (But NO Black Waves).

I received my Evic VT in the mail yesterday and have been using it since. The screen is large, clear and bright enough to see in daylight; the button is nice and clicky; the weight is beautifully balanced with the ergonomic design and the modulation is as smooth as butter.

I've only had a chance to use it in wattage mode so far, but the vape it provides is gorgeous. The painted body isn't as slippery as an anodized istick, but it comes with a silicon sleeve that is grippy but non-sticky (doesn't pick up lint, so far).

Not much more expensive than an iStick 50W, but more robust and sophisticated. I am in awe.

Kat, DPL and cats appear to really like their IPV Mini's.

Me...not so much...

I was fooled by the "Mini" in it's name (but I did find it at a 50% OFF Clearance Sale).

My problem was that I had purchased it after I had a couple 30W-iSticks. Next to them the IPV Mini is HUGE and quite HEAVY (I'd never consider sticking it in my pocket when leaving home).

I do like the idea of having a "replaceable battery mod".

My Plan...wait for the Kanger SUBOX Mini to become available...get one of them...and PIF this brute...
