You are correct, Sir. They are the same. The PocketMod Defender is simply a branding that AquaVapor had added to make it their own.

There IS a slight difference between the 25w and the 36w models. The carbon fiber/black waves/peacock design is just a bit different on the two. Both equally lovely, but not equal.

Except for the fact that the "PocketMod Defender" offers a "Black Carbon" option...am I correct in assuming that the "PocketMod Defender" and the "Heatvape Defender" are the same Mod???

Not certain that the pocket mod is Heatvape. Early videos mentioned 'pocket mod Defender'. There's been at least three versions from Heatvape. Originally there was no 'carbon black/peacock black/black waves' color - 25W and no on/off messages. "v2" added the black waves and silver, iirc - disabled PT and added the 'defender'/'goodbye' on/off message. "v3" was the 36W and added a 'set lock/unlock' on the +/- buttons. (hit fire button and + button for 2 or 3 seconds). All of mine are 25W, I have black and black waves - from heaven gifts.

There's a Defender 50W 'in the works' with a replaceable 18650 :)

edit
Now I see it's 50mm wide - I'll stick with the subox :D.... and the VT

Yea...but...it appears that the Defender 50W will have a "Spring loaded center pin" vs. the SUBOX Mini's fixed pin. :nah:

Not that big of an issue for me, although since putting the subtank on the VT, I noticed the eGo one tank doesn't connect with the Kanger Mini box - first one that doesn't. I could put a circuit board spacer in but I just let the VT 'borrow' the black subtank for an outing :D It's back on the Kbox mini now. :- )

That combo is very handsome. Just sayin'...

It is! I 'stole' that idea from 'workman' on the VT thread in TC. He powder coated his ST and it looked great - not that I didn't consider the swap earlier - just hadn't done it yet

I just got today from My Freedom Smokes a DNA 30 clone- they have the silver on sale for $30.00, the black is $74.99. I think they are trying to get rid of the silver because they came in without the MFS logo engraved on them. I got it out of the box and charged up my 18650 battery. I then slapped on my Kanger Subtank Mini cranked it up to 25 watts and fired away. Works pretty good so far, we will see how it is after a few weeks of hard chain vaping
Also check out the black o-rings on the tank, I like them better than the red with all of the stainless and aluminum. I got a pack of multi colored orings from Fasttech.

I was hoping the Subox/Kbox Mini would be spring loaded.. it's the battery-replaceable device I've been waiting for! but I am disappointed to hear of the fixed 510 pin.

and to whine some more, the Defender 50w is too tall.. Kamry 30w v2, Cloupor Mini, etc.. all too boxy for my tastes.. would be nice just to have a slightly wider iStick 30w with easily replaceable battery.. would shut me up right quick!
