I actually find I slightly prefer the Naughties. They are quieter, they are single, and they seem to last nearly indefinitely. I use coil friendly vliquids so that's not really a valid factor, but more of a point in terms of longevity (one vs. the other).

The GS Airs are also quite good. I do find them to be a noisier coil and will consume more liquid due to the dual build. The GS Airs are the deal of the year price wise. WELL worth the price of admission.

Ever so slightly above either of these two are the Aspire BVCs, and that's my take for the flavor component.

All in all, Race, I doubt you'd be displeased with any of these, and the differences are more individual than not. I'd give them all a shot and see if you prefer one over the other. I like and use them all. VERY much.

I'm sure everyone won't agree with me, but I think the flavor from a GS Air (especially the M version) is a lot better than the Nautilus. Also, it costs about half as much (under $10), as do the coils. I've had only 1 bad coil out of about 50. I didn't have that experience with the Nautilus. I had a bunch of bad coils, or ones that only lasted a day or two. I generally get 2 weeks out of my GS Air coils. And they are pretty easily rebuildable. I think it's an excellent tank for the price. And if you check out the GS Air thread, you'll find an awful lot of people who agree with me. :D

Sold my Nautilus to someone who wanted one - all main mods now have GS Air M, MS, or Tank on them. I still have Kanger eMows on two 'backups'.

I was SO HOPING you would say this. :) Because, I did not like the Nautilus much and I had the same experience with bad coils. Thanks, I'm gonna hop over and order one now. :)

VG can be made from animal fats or vegetable oils - usually soy, coconut, palm oil.... You have to check with the manufacturer. I did that a while back and settled on NOW VG, before going all in with Decadent Vapours Aqueous Glycerin. There are more choices now.

http://www.amazon.com/Vegetable-Gly...27883&sr=8-3&keywords=now+vegetable+glycerine

The "Q&A" (amazon) on these, answers most questions now, but back then I emailed the company :- )

TY.......I better call the people who make the walmart one.....I just don't keep large quantities of stuff on hand so when I ran out recently I just used the walmart brand that I use to soften pine needles (I make pine needle baskets sometimes) it was just easy for me to pop in there and pick up a bottle.

The NOW one sounds good but I am tempted to order from decadent vapours since I have loved loved loved everything I ever got from them, the shippping is worth it to me. :)

I think I'll try that one, too. I better go look at it first. Do I just google Aspire BVC? There seems to be about 5 different ones? Is this the "little one"? Plastic or glass? That would probably be great for me!

The nautilus's "shape" just always bothered me, it's an aesthetic thing for me I guess. I disliked that "dome shaped" thing on top. It annoyed me just to look at it. I dunno why.....I also had a few problems screwing the bottom off a few times, the coil would get stuck up in the guts of the clearo and not come off with the base. (that base with the big thick plastic seal drove me nuts, too.) Also, turning the air hole band was turning in the same direction as you use to take it off the battery, I'd go to adjust the air and the whole thing would come off the battery. I dreaded filling it up. :)

I watched the videos on the GS Air, looks very good to me, too..

The BVCs are coils made by Aspire, and are smaller than the Nautilus coils. I use them in my Billet Box, and in my Cerotank. They can also be used in several of Aspire's tanks...... one moment please...... back with links for you. :)

You described me, too.

Caffeine or nicotine, for me both eventually reach "the law of diminishing returns". I enjoy them more at start of my day.....as day wears on I just find them less enjoyable in larger amounts.

Nicotine is good for a lot of things. What it isn't good for is Raynaud's syndrome, stuff like that in extremities. Talked to several people here who moved to no nic and noticed their extremity circulation problems resolved markedly.

For most other things nicotine is very beneficial.

While i"m here: I wanted to mention this a few places anyway, as sort of a public service announcement. Does anyone know if there are any animal by-products in VG? I should probably look this up quickly. Because, unfortunately, I got diagnosed at major univ. hospital recently with a (previously rare but increasingly diagnosed) "alpha gal" antibody. To make a long story short, my blood showed exposure to the Galactose-alpha-1,3-galactose (alpha gal for short) which causes a pretty bad (and often deadly) reaction to mammalian meats. A forest ranger died last year at Cossatot from anaphalactic shock many hours after eating red meat because he had a high reading of alpha gal (mine is very low) but it is being found in a lot of outdoorsy people who have had tick bite(s) (hunters, hikers, loggers, fishermen, etc.) and chigger bites. Apparently, the tick saliva has this carbohydrate in it, and so do mammals, so there is something that sensitizes people if they have had a tick bite or too many tick bites. The reason it has been under diagnosed is that all food allergies until now have been from binding to food proteins...in this allergy, the antibody binds to a carbohydrate present on meat called galactose-alpha-1,3-galactose (alpha-gal.) The other reason is that the reaction is extremely DELAYED. 6-8 hours later. So people are waking up in middle of night with hives, digestive problems, swollen faces, and in some cases, full blown analphalactic shock. And for probably 20 years, nobody could pin down what the allergic reaction was from in many cases (meaning many people have been denied useful treatment because nobody knew).

The good news is that my digestive problems will probably improve markedly, but the bad news is that if VG has mammal anything in it, vaping is "curtains" for me. Can't take any chances now. Will be living on chicken, fish, and veggies from now on though. Duck. No lamb, pork, beef, venison, etc. I think I can eat squirrels. I had to throw out all my vitamins that are inside "gelatin" capsules (from red meat animals) and switch to the ones with vegetable cellulose. (want to lessen my "load").

I always get the *weird* things that science hasn't figured out yet, but this one is going to be seen more and more I think. Univ. of VA and a few others are doing a lot of studies on it......f'-in bugs. It's both ticks and/or chiggers. I lived in CT before this, in "tick central" so it could have been CT or AR where I got this antibody.

So this is also an alpha gal alert. Dress properly in the woods, while mowing lawns, etc. and use Deet or spray clothing with pyremthrims (sp?).

By the way, don't freak out. Not EVERYONE who gets chigger and tick bites is gonna have this problem. I guess a number of things have to occur, it is dependent on a LOT of different things.....and you have to have just the right immuno biology for it to happen. Some of us are just .......lucky. ;) It is not even a test that anyone outside an immunology specialty would agree to test you .... I've been thru over a year of working with immunologist to find out why I feel so crappy yet everything keeps coming back showing how amazingly "healthy" I am. LOL

I'm not a huge red meat fan, so I will not be suffering as much as some of the people I've talked to.....it would just about kill them not to be able to have a juicy burger or grilled steak or pork loin. This will just make being invited to dinner more challenging for me now.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alpha-gal_allergy

Wow, that's really odd, amazing, unfortunate... etc. I had to ditch most beef about 20 yrs ago, due to my inability to digest cholesterol effectively... but there are probably several million ways to prepare chicken, I've since discovered. :D Sucks that you can't have pork either, though -- I really would suffer without my bacon/sausage for breakfast.

Glad I've never had a tick bite, but I do recall a few chigger bites from long-ago girl scout camping trips. :(

I would imagine for me that was a combination of factors:

- GS Airs are dual coil, while my old t3s coils were not
- I vaped GS Airs at 8+ watts, compared to no more than 5 for t3s tanks
- I'm sure I vaped a lot more due to the above, plus the fact that the juice just tasted SO much better! :D

Just for your info, The GS Air "Pure Cotton Head" is a single coil. See:

There are spring loaded Kbox minis now available at gearbest and 3Fvape? But gearbest answers the direct question....

http://www.gearbest.com/vv-vw-mods/pp_193603.html

[they're also still selling the earlier version so make sure if you order]

Question: This is upgraded version with new spring loaded 510 pin? Or its old version with a fixed 510 pin?

Reply:
Hi,Artur!
This item is the latest version with new spring loaded 510 pin.
Thanks for your inquiry.

Update on this.....

I contacted Phil B about this. He said he'd check on it and his response was that it was likely a clone. We knew there were clones out there, but I thought that this one was authentic from the note posted by gearbest, so not so sure now.

Thanks, Kent! I've never used the 1.2 coils, so I wasn't aware of that. I just rebuild my old 1.5 coils into single coils with rayon.

Vegetable glycerin (glycerol) is a bit of misnomer. Just make sure you're getting US Pharma grade VG.

Per Roly:

  • "VG can be made in around five different ways, and for this reason there are a number of people who may have an allergy or intolerance for one or more brands. It can be made from animal or vegetable sources, or as a byproduct of biodiesel production, or synthesized and made in a similar way to PG and PEG, from other chemicals. Vegetable sources include coconut oil and palm oil."

In a nutshell so I don't have to read 2,000 posts somewhere in a topic, what are the major diff between a nautilus and a GS air?

24 bucks? :D

Seriously, $34 for a non-RBA tank? Highway robbery, if you ask me. GS tanks can be had for $9-12 and are absolutely delightful.

But I'm biased. I don't like Aspire. Full disclosure. ;)

Anyone took them apart yet? Maybe I should ask our Air experts in GS Air thread for confirmation.

Now he tells me. I just got some LG batteries from RTD.

Please let us know what Phil says. If those are clones, I'll probably get an IVP D2. Or a Cloupor mini.

Or the RADIUS! :D

The last few Nautiluses I bought were on sale for under $16, thanks to the Deals and Steals thread. I got 2 minis and one full size. I prefer the Nautilus over the GS Airs but I haven't tried the new Gs M, MS or Tank. I bookmarked the GS Tank on Fasttech cuz I might pick up 1 or 2 in the near future.

The 1.5 Ohm Air Heads that I have are Dual Horizontal Coils with Silica Wicks.

The 1.2 Ohm Air Heads that I have are Single Vertical Coil with a Cotton Wick.

---

The 1.5 Ohms are Relatively Easy to rebuild. And the Entire Coil Cover comes off using the Reverse Tank Method.

The 1.2 Ohms are Not so easy to rebuild. And the Top of the Coil Cover off using the Man Hole Method.

Thanks, Z! Not a fan of verticals, really. And they are a pain to rebuild, I agree.

I'm with you Kat.

I think some people like Vertical Coils Heads better because it has a Less Restrictive Air Flow. And you can Boost the Watts more before Captain Dry Hit makes his Appearance.

But for Rebuilding, they are Kinda a PITA.
