Uh, but what the heck IS it?? Squonker? Mech?

No it's a VW 1500mah unit that uses GS Air coils or a rebuild-able deck. No screen just a twist dial, wonderful little KISS device for helping newbies get started with. A little heavy but feel solid, and so far excellent taste and vapor production on the stock coils. Have not even gutted and rayoned one yet! :)

Maybe add a name and some details. Kat needs something to do...

pretty sure its there already, Joyetech eGrip

Is there a easier way to get back to the spreadsheet? I have to always go looking back for the last mention and link of it?

Just went and checked post 1 to be sure a link had not been edited into it for ease of access, and realized this little unit was one of the first she has listed in that post!

Hiya Kat! Speaking of names. I'm still waiting on an answer about the iStick mystery name. I have gotten emails back a couple of times but I don't think they understand my lingo..English:confused: (just asking for an answer how the Stick was named) I went over to Fasttech to ask also and they have been returning messages, but answers that were no help whatsoever. If I ever get an answer on this, I will throw the party. Never thought it would be this difficult!:laugh:

:pop:

I'll guess !! back when the istick aka janty stick came out, was the first I-pod and I-this and I-that (meaning 'my') so I think the 'i' came from a modern tecky fad. Stick came from a differentiation between a pen e-cig (style) and a thicker, blunter style. I'm probably wrong, tho haha

The answer was posted a few weeks ago. It may have been in the Eleaf iStick thread. The "i" is for intelligent. I do not remember the "stick" part. Hopefully, someone with a better memory will join in with the correct answer.

Yeah, no! :D Sorry for my brief disappearance, but I'm been honing my skills at using a new cell phone after 3.5 years. There's a BIT to learn!

However, since I've been paged, here's an UPDATE!

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1-z_V674p-5HYa9uzMqj1mq67da8-hnOOh2NNB2-ifgI/edit?usp=sharing

I actually did make some minor changes through out the doc. And for those who have not, you might just want to do the same and bookmark it. Eventually, this thread may go the way of many before it, and you may not have access to all the info here. The Sheet is all of yours, even at the point when I no longer hold the keys.

You can also make a copy of The Sheet for yourself and keep it in your own Google Docs/Drive. :)

After some 60 odd devices on there...... it seems to me this is slowing down. What do you guys think?

The higher-wattage regulated mod/box/PV frenzy seems to have slowed from a sprint to a crawl. The current big push for manufacturers appears to be in sub-ohm tanks.

The next wave might be in temperature-regulated chips with better software implementation and less expensive unit cost (think Yihi rather than Evolv...).

Billherbst, I think Katdarling might be very busy updating in a few weeks!! China is having their first ever int'l e-cig 'expo' in a week or so and it's almost certain that a few models are being held back for a premiere. Smoore has a touchscreen handheld and Luxyoun (I saw A rumor on fasttech - so it's only A rumor, they have an assist from yihi on chips), and just released three new ones. There are a few models that are turning up with Texas Instruments chips, so we may see more of those, and if we do, that may drive the price of YiHis down. I agree temp control will be a big thing. I've read the M80plus hasn't really solved it but need to read more of what folks say about the SXmini's temp control and how it's different, if it is. E-cig technology seems to be driving other applications now so who knows, maybe we'll even see 'intel inside' sooner than later? With models already out blue-tooth enabled, and screens getting larger, and the first attempt at marrying a iphone5 to a vape device semi-received, the next step is obvious - the battle of the batteries, and then form and bells and whistles will follow. I think the 'minis under $100' category will explode - in a good way.

My Athena Smart-30 from Fasttech is in my town, should be delivered today! Took the new USPS battery shipment option and only 10 days for it to get here. Not bad! Will report later if it is delivered.

That's not fair! You whooped our Welly's!!!! ;)

Seriously though, I'm happy for you. Can't wait for a report!
