I think you should continue on with this thread. If you manage to get it all into spreadsheet mode with the dimensions, volume and weight, you could easily sort it from biggest to smallest and heaviest to lightest. That way you can have a wider range of stuff and people can still tell which ones are "itty bitty" enough for them. Or I suppose an easier version would be making 3 categories of sizes, one for the "smallest" mods, one for the "medium small" and "large small"?

Hi Kyi,,, I do plan to continue this thread. And I am almost ready to post my spreadsheet. I'm a fairly quick study, but it all was new to me, so please take that with a coupla grains of salt. My Bestie (a pivoter and spreadsheet Black Belt) was of enormous help and thanks to that, I will be able to link you all very soon.

Dimensions, volume and WHAT?? Weight?

Tell ya what.....if you would be so kind, could you please let me know your findings for all these mod's weights? I'd like the info by 0200 PST so I can update the spreadsheet for tomorrow's adventures...

;)

Please forgive our neighbor from the northern territories. His brain may be a little frozen and pictures help him decipher the words. You should hear the Canuck's accent!

Besides, he's on the other side of the continent.

You DO know how they named Canada, don't you, alden? :D

You'll never get through our heavily guarded border-- Eh?

I know. I tried!

But using volume alone we'd have to include almost any Spinner, Twist and the like, a few of which do have the bells and whistles... but all would fall out on a height criteria, yes?

Criteria? David, it's me! ...... we don't HAVE criteria, Mr. iTaste VV3 VP. ;)
All we've got is a wacky Kalifornia girl who insists on making lists in her spare time. Oh this is gonna be fun.

Here's a couple of my pics.

It depends on the criteria. Sure. If we use the original iStick as our baseline or "steak in the ground", we probably don't want to stray too far from the height and width. Adding approximately 10mm to the iStick's height and width brings us to the 85mm*45mm. Good depth is probably best determined by atomizers' size with 23mm on the large side of average and good for most peoples' hands.

I'm not familiar with any spinner/twist type devices that can keep up with the new "minis" in performance and battery life. I suppose I'm simply to the point where anything taller than 85mm isn't "mini" anymore. The iStick really has been a "game-changer". In addition, all the new really good atomizers from the Nautilus Mini right up to the SubTank are not designed for the 14-16mm form-factor.

We each have our own needs and desires. It's wonderful that there are so many options to reach everyone.

I agree, was just thinking that those weren't really the thrust of this thread.

Perhaps some degree of "palm-ability", but then there are many different sized palms...

Regarding mAh rating, there are quite a few in the area of the iS mini, or higher. Not sure how the amp limits compare, although some claim 15, so not too far off.

I must have missed that in history classes. How did they name Canada?

Welp, when Sir John A. McDonald and his cronies were trying to figure out a new name for the (soon-to-be) great country, someone had a what they thought was a fair idea:

"Let's put all the letters into a hat and draw three of them.
That will be the new name of this place ..."
So they did ...

The first letter is pulled, and our Sir John shouts - "C" eh!?
The second letter is pulled, and a cronie shouts - "N" eh!?
The third letter is pulled, and shack22 shouts - "D" eh!?

How bout if it's bigger than a pack of smokes - it's a no go.

nice work Kat!

And finally! THE decisive size requirement emerges. I love that, Buster!

Really looking forward to the spreadsheet version, and long mat it live and grow. :toast:

Don't think size matters that much if the list is in a spread sheet. Eg. If column C gave height in mm and that was the most important thing to you, scanning that part of the list would soon sort it for you.

Column? Height in mm?

Oh no......... :(

Back to the drawing board, me.

On second thought...... Nope, not gunna do it! :D

(Davantrac, the way I have it set up should prove to be an easy change if you want to create a sheet with the mod heights in a separate column.)

lol, not bothered either way really. I'm just glad somebody like you has started to gather this information together in one place. If links are included like the original list, it will save people hours of searching the web looking for what's out there.

And once the list is complete (never) it could easily be extended or reproduced to include non variable devices. Once you get a few people together who you can trust, you could allow others to add to and amend the original spreadsheet. For eg add a column for height, or weight or volume. The possibilities are infinite.
Well Done.

Now if only we can figure out how to get Kat paid for doing the work AND putting up with our kr*p. Either of which could be exhausting in and of itself.

Oh the joy of doing this is the reward in itself, Mr.Bungle.

So, what do you think of my eager/meager creation?

Welp, aren't you sweet! And you haven't even seen my creation yet. Please go easy on me. I've never done a spreadsheet before. I hope it's ok for all of you.

And with your inspiration, might I present to you.... a spreadsheet, by KD.

Excellent start.

Now to start some work on it.
1. The Dimension column could be changed to 3 separate columns for height, width and depth.
2. A column for battery type, fitted or removable.
3. A column for battery power if a fitted one.
4. Pass through vaping y or n.
5. A resistance column, how low and high a coil it will fire.

I'll keep you busy :)

My cats were "SMALL" and "Under $100."

(And please do include past, present, and future color options, how many clicks for on/off, and the scratchability factor... you know,,, the impotent schtuff.) ;)

And herein lies your first mistake...... ;)

I do agree with you that our list needs to be any mod with a "V" on it (variable). Nons might be better suited for another area of the forum.

good idea, sorry Kat, when I posted i didn't realize "v" .....was that there all along or was it edited into post? Either way, I didn't see that when I posted the non VV mods.

Oh dale....... whassa mattah, sweetie?

She probably realized that her beloved Vmod wasn't going to make the list cuz not "v" either  ;)

Genuinely LMHO right neow, Race! :D

No problemo on your suggestions. They are all welcome, and there most likely will be someone who benefits from them.

(and the "V" was sort of a gimme from the section of the Forum, and yes, it was in the original post, sweets.)
