Although I seldom vape over 10 watts, usually 8-9 watts, I like to be able to adjust according to topper, juice and my mood. I do not like top coils, I prefer bottom coils. I rebuild, and like that I can control what I get from my equipment. JMHO, it works for me!

Today is my 3 year vapeaversary. Never thought I would quit analogs, but quit on my first vape (a Blu disposible). The Blu didn't cut it, but I realized it could work. Found ECF, better equipment, and the rest is history. For my selfish self, I got a Kbox mini (Vapor Beast Deal of the Day last week - just the mod) and an EVIC VTC mini in the mail yesterday. I really like both. Won a Coupor mini+; it is very nice too. Still have a Wismec Pressa 75w TC on the way. Oh and another Heatvape Defender 50 watt (love my Defenders!). These new mods have come a long way from my variable voltage ego-style beginner mods, but so have I! My friends here on ECF (everyone here especially included!) have helped me be the confident, happy, proud vaper I am today.

Thank you!

Tough crowd.

Right?

Which is exactly the reason I'm still here on this forum, year after year--good, critical, unbiased information. I consult my friends on ECF (and reviewers like Phil and Todd) before I buy anything nowadays--no more wasted money and needless aggravation.

Thank you all for sharing your experiences and opinions with your fellow vapers!

And special thanks to @Katdarling for this thread! :toast:

Oh, and it's another variation on Innokin's favorite "top-coil cartomizer" design... So expect dry hits, especially when the eliquid level in the tank gets low. Come on, Innokin! Another Vivi Nova?

One of the things I like about the eMows - almost impossible to get a dry hit - good early warning without gagging you. lol... GS Airs are almost as good.

@clnire ....... we are HONORED to be celebrating your 3rd vape-a-versary with you! You done the struggle, you've vaped the wimpy vape, and you've persisted and endured. Now you're at a place in your vape life where you've finally not only taken control of it, but come to appreciate all that we have.

BEYOND that tho.... you are a sweetie and a half, and I for one am SO glad to have connected with you. You share your experiences tinged with the sweetness in your heart, and it is NOT unnoticed. Thank you, and honey?

HUGE CONGRATULATIONS on numero tre!

Katya, thank you, babe. I've had so much fun in this thread, and it's you guys who should be thanked. Truly. I'm a thread starter, but you all have taken it and roooooooooooooooooooooolled it along!

What a ride!

 ya all~

And that was my initial thought, exactly, Turtle. Someone got it their mind that 14 watts was perfect with their 1.5Ω coils. Who that mind was? We may never know, but sorry, Innokin, as much love as I have for you, this was an odd move, to say the least.

Will it be THE perfect set up for THE smoker? Puleeze. Impastable, and we all know that. This product could potentially end up defeating the smoker's purpose in switching to vape.

I realize they did this for ease - make it as cigarette smoking like as pastable. But. Hmmmm.

KatyLovie, supposedly (and I have no clue cuz I didn't buy this device or coils) this new design by Innokin allows for wicking in any position of the tank. Who knows! :D
Yes, but in his video P. Busardo makes it a point to tell smokers switching to this to make sure that they fill their tank before the liquid hits the bottom 2 holes.

I don't think that this system is the answer by any means, but I think that it is great that the Chinese manufacturers are actually producing something for newbies and not just upping the wattage some more.

I have the skills now (NOW) that I can build a coil to MATCH a set output device
so IF you could build a coil and get it to work as a kit, I think that is GREAT !

which leads me to my beach about this device...
ANOTHER COIL YOU CAN'T REBUILD
no sir re, I've got enuff variations of coils laying around
I DON'T NEED to add yet another one...

 :grr: :sneaky:

And that fact, undeniable. Kudos for listening, Mr. and Ms. China. We DO need devices for newbs and smokers!

Kute. I'm not crazy about running a single battery at 75 watts though. Sure it can be done, but such a short battery life. And if a person isn't going to run it that high, then why bother having the extra wattage? Or am I missing something?

Yeah... They make great mods. Toppers? Not so much, IMHO.

I also don't think Aspire excells at mods. Maybe the two should work together? I have to hand it to Kanger for putting out some good mods with their first attempt. That subox covers a wide range of vaper and smokers. I've got a smoker I've been looking for a kit for and she fries nautilus coils because she wants more from it. I took her to a b&m first day and she took a hit off a mech and rda, loved it but she's overwhelmed by ego's. I'm coughing while she's ready to chuck clouds! That's what she needs. There's no way she's ready for ohm's law. IMO, one thing vaping should prove is that smokers can't be generalized about what they need to quit.

Perhaps. But gravity is a ..., well, gravity. :D

Maybe I'm just cranky today... I never cared for top coils.

Squonking always seemed to defy gravity to me.

Tough crowd.
Yup. Were supposed to be. That's how manuacturers can get it right.

I'm not crazy about running a single battery at 75 watts though.

Rightfully so, there is currently no 18650 battery that can deliver 75 watts safely.
So the choices are;
1) The mods does not supply 75 watts or
2) The mod is not safe

The Evolv DNA40 and the new Provari Radius are 40 watt single 18650 mods. hmmmm

I'd rather not get into a discussion on semantics... The SONY VTC 4 is still available, with a 30A continuous discharge rate. That allows for up to 90W of safe, regulated vaping, down to a 3.2V battery level, battery life notwithstanding. I believe the 75W regulated mods serve a purpose. With the advent of all the "sub-ohm" clearos, a 75W mod makes a lot of sense. If someone is continuously vaping at 40-50W, I'd rather see them do it on a 75W device. I've always suggested leaving some headroom with our battery-powered APVs and not running them floored all the time. Just my :2c:

I don't think I've seen manufacturers request over 2O amp min.
