Yeah baby this one is just too weird looking... Even though it's similar to CF4--in an odd kinda way.

In other news, I like my Evic mini and I finally got some joyetech CLR coils to try in my eGo One tank. They are decent, but the flavor is only so-so. Maybe it will improve when I rebuild them. Enough airflow for a mouth-to-lunger on the 1Ω coil; plenty of airflow on the .5Ω one.
I wish they made one in-between, 2-2.5mm diameter air hole; 1.8mm is small, 3.5mm is more than I need.
Now I'm beginning to understand why so many people here love Aspire coils.

those insulators from the kanger bcc coils slide right in (if ya have some)
just a guess, 2.2mm hole ?????

Well, I'll be.... You're a genius, Puf! I would never, ever, in a million years have thought about using those insulators! I have a couple of boxes of those coils, but I'm saving them for Vapocalypse as those can be rebuilt.

Absolutely brilliant! :thumb:

Thank you!

Hmm... I wonder if those are the ones Lightning Vapes sells. I saw them once--they make rubber and silica insulators. Lemme look!

Resistance Coil Insulator 10 Pack RUBBER OR SILICONE (CE Type Atty's, eg. Protank, Evod,T3 etc.)

I've reread that several times. I still don't understand.

What don't you understand, Aik? Aspire BVC coils (authentic) from Fasttech work just fine in my Subtank mini silver V2.

Help me understand which part you don't understand...

Aikanae, the Aspire "Replacement" BVC coils (NON Nautilus) are much shorter than the ones for the Nauties and can be used in the Kanger Subtank mini without any adjustments. Just screw it in and tootle away. :) Think I got this info from TaxGuyDave a few months ago....or was it DingerCPA? My memory banks have little room now. :( Anyway, it's been working great! Just ordered some more from MyFreedomSmokes with their 40% off sale on coils.

Also have used the ProTank single coils in the STM. (Also passed on from one of the two above.) I've rebuilt the coils with 30 Kanthal and cellu cotton. Just screw those in and use an extra silicone cap upside down and slipped over the air shaft for the coil's shaft to go through. :)

Wondering, do they fit in the subtank nano as well? Do you need the adapter or silicone ring or can you just pop the bvc right in? Thanks!

I haven't a clue about using either the Aspire BVC "Replacement" coil OR the Kanger ProTaml 2 coil on the Nano SubTank, pokemom. Sorry. :( Only have STM's right now or I'd give it a go. The silicone "ring"/cap/grommet I use only when using the ProTank 2 coil. :)

Thanks. I have both here so I might try it later if I'm adventurous!

Final thoughts on the KBOX MINI.

  1. Yes, they're definitely misfiring.
  2. It's not common enough for me to care that much about it, especially when price is thrown into the equation.
  3. I definitely like them, and will continue to use them.
  4. The "Platinum" ( I wish they wouldn't do that) is nice, but I prefer the look & feel white/black.
  5. At less than $25, I consider the latter to be an absolute steal.
Carry on (and keep calm). :D

Here, allow me to fix that for ya......

@Katdarling and @DPLongo22

So I finally got some Aspire BVC coils from FT. Only took 2 months to get here. I tried them in my Subtank mini and I have to confess that I like them a lot! They wick great, no leaks, no gurgling, plenty of air and very nice flavor. Very, very nice flavor.

Who wouldda thunk! Katya likes the Aspires!!!!!!!!!!!!

(took ya long enuf, girlfren)

haha, I was thinking SAME AS YOU

wish that air hole was ‘in- between’

after some ‘eye-ballin’, reached in my drawer
pulled out my old supply of SILICONE insulators from LightningVapes
(sticks finger in mouth, slides it out abruptly making a POP sound !)
upload_2016-1-9_13-49-29.png

it ‘pops’ right in – perfect

I used them for awhile, but then graduated up to more air...

so I removed and now going full 3.5mm (such a daredevil)

really, if they went with like, f-tech ”styled”
and claimed platinum ‘quality’ device
but deception (as they wanted, I’m sure) is of a superior material...

Definitely will be trying these. I've reported the problems I've had with the ST's  Perhaps these will help. I'll report what I find.....

I can say, with "certainty" (having just tried) that the bvc coils do not work in the St nano. The bvc hole is too small so the chimney won't go in & the tank won't screw back together

Well, that answers the BVC/Nano question for sure, pokemom. On the mini the air shaft must be higher giving more room for the heighth of the BVC. The shaft does sit firmly "on top" of the BVC and NOT "in" the BVC. :)

hmmmmmm, if kanger box coils fit across the board…

just seems peculiar they won’t fit…

Similar to a conversation @Katdarling and I had the other night, about the "Titanium White" Provari's on blem sale. I do not like it when companies play with words in such a way as to confuse reality.

1. It ain't "Platinum", and -
2. IT AIN'T TITANIUM!!!!
