I think that was Kat's intention when she started this thread, real itty bitty mods but as usual it got derailed and the mods posted got bigger and bigger. The same will probably happen to your thread but best of luck. ;)

From my understanding the mods were simply a bit bigger back then. But with all these micro mods coming out and gaining popularity I thought they deserved a dedicated thread of their own.

I hope the "smaller then a Pico" guideline holds up but we'll see how it goes, thanks

You could be right. I didn't start at the beginning of this thread so that could very well be true. Love the thumbs up icon. Stolen. :p

I've brought it up a few weeks ago & that was the explanation I got :)

& no problem, I don't remember from where anymore but I stole it myself as well some years ago

Enjoy!

Doesn't work. Found some instructions for my Linux/Gnome, but still no luck even with those. It won't stop me from building coils, though.
Linux keyboard text symbols: Compose key shortcuts

I like the looks, too, but it never feels quite right in my hand. It's too short or something. My pinky goes underneath and I always worry that I'll accidentally change the settings. And I don't like to have to turn it upside down when I actually want to change the settings. I'm not fond of that battery cap on top either. And it's not sealed, so if my tank decides to dump da juice for whatever reason, I have a feeling that some that juice may get into the battery compartment. Paranoia? Perhaps. :D

I wish they made a full size Pico.
Some guys were putting o-rings on the battery cap. I'll probably do that too.
My Picos just hit NYC ISC so another few days for me :D

It is with deep regret that I have to say that my custom etched CF IV that I bought after I finished radiation and was cleared with a clean bill of health has died. She was a good mod. She was a pretty mod. She will be missed.

You don't happen to know which size o rings do you? I have 2
I am using, 1 my house mate is using, 2 more on the way and at least 2 more (likely more) I plan to order as I really like this thing. I was thinking about getting a eleaf 100 (or 200) and a releaux but not sure I want something so big, even for vaping at my desk.

I don't have mine yet so I have no idea. If I had to guess, 18 x 1mm.

It started depleting much faster than it used to. Yesterday its output wasn't what it claimed to be and it wouldn't hold a charge.

Thought it best to put her down before she became dangerous to herself & me.

Based on the picture, looks like it got poisoned by an FAMU rattler bite.

Grrrr. Again! [emoji12]

FAMU is where my eldest goes to school. His little brother starts there in the fall.

Ooooooooooooo, sorry, pokes!! If you DO get the CF4 '650, perhaps Phin would do a custom design on it for you.

LOVE mine (uncustomized but still beautiful)

I hope you guys don't mind the spam, but I decide to start a thread for the real tiny ones since the term "itty bitty" is used pretty loosely in this thread.

If anyone wants to show off anything smaller than a Pico then please stop by :)

We actually went round and round and round to determine the size of an itty bitty. Alden made a great suggestion (to limit the size to approximately the size of a pack of smokes), and the crowd roared with delight.

Good luck to you, OTA! I do have a micro mini or two, and tho not new or current mods, perhaps I can stop by and play show and tell with you and your new thread! :)

Thanks. I will take one of mine with me and hit up a hardware store next time I am out running errands and see if I can find something in that range that might fit/work and will let you know if I find anything. I will post in the pico thread as well if I do find something that works.

Always welcome, the more the merrier!

It feels kinda funny to call it "my thread" though, it's for all of us :)

Really? I love the orig. CF IV. I wasn't a fan of the plus, or the 100 TC. They just didn't look right to me. This 18650 looks closer to the original. Do you know if Jennifer (I think that's her name) does custom etching if you send the stuff? If so, I will definitely get one & probably throw some KF mini v3 and KF v5 class replacements into see if she'll do those too.

OK. I'm surprised, frankly. I prefer lower res than 2.5 myself--too wimpy for me. Have you tried 1.8Ω coils?
I have. No good for my mini egos. Will try later on my mini/midi mods.
Alt + 234 on the numeric pad: Ω
That's the first suggestion I've tried that actually does something, but it gives me ⅔4 not Ω
It's hard to fit a high resistance coil in that tiny PT housing, especially if you're making spaced coils. You have to be very careful that the coil doesn't touch the housing. Touching (contact) coils take up less space and you can use a bit thicker wire, which is easier to work with.
Great tip! But I'm not sure I want to torch the wire/coils per Dr. K's warnings. I've stopped dry burning coils for cleaning, and scrub them instead, now.
My favorite build for most (MTL) tanks is 29 or 28g Kanthal, 2.5 mm ID, 1.2-1.6Ω, 9-14 watts or so. I have never tried a 2.5Ω coil in an RTA, but you can certainly build one. There's plenty of room in a Lemo for a larger coil. Just make sure you use higher wattage--it won't work with 5 watts.
Why wouldn't it work at 5 watts with a 2.5Ω coil? Something's missing in my understanding.
