A mere 273 miles from me!Rob hails from Alfred Maine![]()
Maine law requires me to declare that I am not from Maine. I just moved here 33 years ago, so I am still and--again by Maine law--always will be a person from away. Thanks for being from Maine.
LOL! "DOGGY!!!!"
;-)
Doggystyle. Two makers, SXK and SMJY (or SJMY or SYMJ or-or-or...).
Just type Doggystyle into FT. You shall see. They're marvelous (IMO).
SXK's airflow hole is slightly smaller than the "Smidgie" one. I can't tell any difference but others can. They both work great for me.
And yes I did ONCE
My laptop was making whirring sounds like a plane about to take off!

It's only 2 years old!
I've had the most awful luck with Dell & HP laptops

Anyways, here I am to wish you Happy IttbyBitty Mod Monday vapes it was a P I T A it is to move stuff from one PC to the other...I wish there were an easier way but we haven't found it yet!
Have used Macrium Reflect for years, cloning a HDD works simply and flawlessly

Thanks for the thumbs up on Macrium.Yep. And there are other "cloning" software as well.
Should be fairly easy and not too spendy to get a new fan in the old one, though.
(We've had nothing but good luck with laptops from Toshiba and Asus.)
Ok. I've had it.@clnire
Sounds like the problems that I've been having with them.
I had ordered a few things from them and one of the mods came with buttons that didn't work. The process of getting in touch with them and making arrangements to send in the defective mod was a little irritating, but not insurmountable.
For the 3 weeks after tracking said they had received my returned package, I kept trying to contact them through their ticket system and couldn't Finally after 3 weeks, I called them and sat on hold for 45 minutes.
They said they had sent the replacement package a couple of weeks ago. Sent to the WRONG address. They said they would send a replacement immediately, to the correct address. That was a week and a half ago. I'll find out tomorrow at work if it's arrived yet. It hadn't arrived Friday (which it should have).
I guess it's time to call them and sit on hold for an hour. Maybe just give my money back. I'm fed up with it.
Like you, I could log onto the website, but not the customer service section.
Yup, just tried again. No luck.DH, my problem was resolved. Not sure about yours... I am also able to get into their support system now. Have you tried that lately?
