I thought this would be the best place to post this question since one of the criteria is that it's a small device.

I was wondering, are there any newer models of small box mods that follow the following criteria...
  • Strictly VV or VW (or both)
  • NO TEMP CONTROL FUNCTIONS
  • Has screen that shows at least...
    • wattage (or voltage or both)
    • ohms
    • battery life
  • Has 510 threaded connection (in other words, no pod systems)
  • Has integrated battery
Does anyone even make a mod like this anymore?

I want to be able to suggest such a simple 510 device to newbies but the only one that comes to mind that is still available is the Eleaf Istick 30W. But the problem is that can be hard to find at a reasonable price considering it is an old device and may be old stock (and therefore aging battery). For the prices suppliers want for the istick 30W, there must be more modern option with fresher batteries for around the same price lol.

Please suggest if anything like this exists anymore.

Eleaf istick 30W "upgrade"

"As a company, Eleaf iSmoka has gained an unprecedented following due to their revolutionary Advanced Personal Vaporizer, the iStick 30W. Just months after the release of this magnificent product, they have improved on the original version with the release of the iStick 30W APV."

"The Eleaf iStick 30W is furnished with a high-quality OLED screen, which displays the Voltage, wattage, battery level, vape timer, and atomizer resistance."

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I dyed the red stitching on the solo I received with black shoe polish & used it as a deck building stage, Can using it like this damage it?

Most people use their mods as a deck building stage these days instead of buying a purpose-built device like a Coil Master 521 Tab or similar.

The only advantage I can see that Coil Master 521 Tab or similar have is that they are wide and low and therefore you can't really accidentally knock it over as you are building/wicking.

You will be fine using your mod. That said, always check to see that it is reading resistance before you fire it. Even though these mods have short circuit protection, it's best not to trigger that protection when you know there is a short or something isn't right. Anything can malfunction. Anything.

Oh no. I like the red stitching. Just add a red trip tip!

Yes you can. I agree with @UncleJunkle 's advice.

I have an iStick 30W that's 5 or 6 years old and still working. Don't ask me how it's possible.

I have one still working (not used) 3 dead. But I still have 3 working TC40's which I would have recommended were it not for the "no temp" 'requirement' :) And, I've never used the temp feature on them. It doesn't "get in the way" and I'd have to check the manual to use it. lol

I have two 30W isticks in the box unopened and one that I used but it thinks the battery is fully charged after only 10 minutes of charging so it. I don't know if that's a battery issue or an issue with the PCB. Lasted over 3 years I believe.

I have a 20W istick that worked fine up until the damn brass 510 threads stripped. If it wasn't an integrated battery mod I would've put a new 510 on it. But not worth it.

I never got a 40 for some reason.

That's odd. Mine charges as it should.

I agree. Those threads are pretty soft. I've only used my iSticks with very small tanks, mainly GS 2ml tanks, for out and about. But I don't use them much anymore. But they were my first box mods and were a revelation when I first got them. So small, user-friendly, and VW. I retired my cumbersome ProVari the day I got my first iStick.
