I've stated in the past that QA and QC on eliquids in general is an apparent problem for the industry as a whole. The Chinese(Dekang) have gone to the length , at least, of getting some type of certification's(i.e CE, SGS, RoHS, TUV and Korean FDA - although all non USA, these are reputable worldwide/regional certification entities) and avow that they adhere to manufacturing standards of ISO9001:2008 & Korean GMP(good manufaturing practices-how this compares to US FDA cGMP is up for debate). My point is they've been accredited by independent non-biased certification entities and adhere to some verifiable manufacturing standards.

To my knowledge, no eliquid manufacturer in the US(other then Johnson Creek's FDA standard 2002 bioterrorism registration- which is not the same thing as FDA product approval) has gone to any length to get their product or process approved by any independent certification entity or analyzed by an independent non-biased lab source. I would also be very interested to see if any US eliquid manufacturers approach standards such as cGMP in their particular manufacturing process.

It just seems odd to me that , of all countries, the Chinese have one up'd US manufacturing on apparent Quality control/assurance issues in any arena, especially one that is as inherently dangerous as production of a product intended for direct human inhalation.

I would hope this situation will change in the near future, especially with the recent court decision which, at the very least, now seems to lend some legal credence to US e-cig industry as a whole.

To me this raises questions I never considered. Good point it may have been made before in this forum but if it has I missed it

I ordered two bottles of Rath Juce, an 11mg tobacco and a 24mg tobacco. The 11mg taste like what you would expect from a tobacco flavor but the 24mg also has a distinct chocolate flavor to it.
It's as if something got cross mixed during production. It really has me second guessing their quality control and sanitation/contamination controls.

I have yet to find a tobacco that I like from anywhere.
same for me, but i have 555 coming so i guess i will see.
i may try this waffle stuff too, someday. my limited budget keeps me from buying one of everything till i find something i like. man there are a whole bunch of dealers. it's overwhelming sometimes.

Also consider how many times the phrase "bad batch" has recurred referring to eliquids in general(US in particular). What recourse does the average eliquid consumer have if they get a "bad batch". In fact, how would they even know without the manufacturer's use of standard lot # assignments.(The Chinese are also guilty of this ommision). How could a manufacturer possibly effect a successful recall if there is no particular bad batch lot # to tell consumers to stop using and send back.

This is just one of many issues that need to be addressed in order to legitimize the industry as a whole.

If you watch Grimm Green's review, you'll see that it was horrible to him at first, but then he was sent out another bottle from a "better batch", and he seemed to love it.
problem is his "good batch" is supposed to be the dark stuff, but it seems ppl here are complaining bout the darker liquid.. in the first vid u can see the liquid is much clearer... i think imma roll the dice and give waffle a shot though, im keeoing an eye on the site because right now there out of stock.. hopefully the new stock will be a "good batch"...
seriously though, how hard is it to measure and mix liquids? i had the same experience with an "apple pie" flavor, ppl seem to love it but im hardly impressed.

I think Rath Waffle Juice might be my biggest WOW flavor I have ever tried to date.

Taking a drag of this, and you immediately taste waffles with the butter, and with the syrup on top.

The vapor exhale may even be crazier. It smells like fresh baked waffles in the room. Anyone that is around you smells it almost instantly I have found.

Which that can be a bad thing, because you really can't hide the fact that your vapping in the room. It also makes you want to eat some waffles if that's a bad thing.

Wouldn't you know I go to get some and they are out of stock. Damn!

I am a newbie, but I got some 12 mg nic waffle juice from ecigsupply.com. Along with a new atty. The taste is smooth and on exhale I can faintly taste the butter/maple. I don't taste much else though. Could it be that I may have to break in the new atty? The taste isnt bad, but I only have menthol, clove and rum punch to compare it to. I do like the smell:)
It almost tastes like my atty is clogged. But it's brand new.
I remember a chemical taste the first time I got my 901. So am thinking its just a breaking in thing and I should be able to taste it better after a day.

Thaitee:

Yes, attys have a manufacturers taste on them so let that burn out and you'll notice it tasting better. Another thing is you have strong flavors now and Waffle is mild and smooth so that'll take some getting used to.

Right now I can say that Waffle is my favorite from CigTech and I'm out of mine and they are out of stock on theirs. I have tried to make my own using Lorann's butter and maple w/VG and PG. I got the taste right but the vape is thin.

So, I ordered French Toast from Ms. T's in the meantime.

That's pretty much my experience with Rath waffle as well. It takes a while to get used to the mild flavor. I was expecting a bit more flavor but in time it should grow on you.
Do you know when that funny taste burns off?
My 510 attys after being blown out usually take an hour or so of vaping to break them of the fluid smell.

I think Ms T's french toast is great. More flavor than Rath waffle and is thinner so it doesn't work your atty so hard. The vapor is nice and thick like Rath's though.

thaitee just remember that the Rath juice is 100% VG. 100% VG seems to differ in thickness from vendor to vendor. My Rath juices from e.cigsupply are the thickest that I have. Thick vg juice is excellent for making vapor but it will work your atty harder and clog it up quicker. For this reason I usually mix my Rath juice with some kind of PG juice to thin it out a bit.

Happy vaping. :)

I love rath's, especially blueberry pancakes. I just wish it was more PG and less VG, it is so thick and dark it clogs my 510 attys very quickly, reducing their performance after just a few days on a brand new atty

any tricks on how I can revive these atty's I've tossed aside? I can vape dekang crap for weeks on an atty with no drop in performance beyond normal blowing it out /draining once in a while but that doesn't save my attys killed by raths.

I might buy some unflavored pg nic juice and mix but I dont want to water down the flavor which is already quite subtle, I wish he a) made pg versions b) sold doublers

I get the same taste using polyfill capped and springed carts on the 510.

I think the chemical flavor has to do with using polyfill with this juice, I'm not sure. When I direct drip on the atty, I taste the waffle flavor.

With the cart filled the first few drags has a great flavor, but then it quickly degenerates into the weird chemical/burnt taste.
