I have been lurking since I got my 510-T a few months ago. I have grown fond of Pipes. I ordered the DSE601-c, and during the month long shipping, I decided that it can't be TOO hard to make a mod, after all, it's a simple circuit. After a bit of headache, I completed my first E pipe. I used a EGO battery connector (cut off button area), 18350 battery, and Chinese eBay pipe. For the button, I used a 1" nickel cap with the negative solder to it. I then used a Chicago screw for the button with a simple electronics spring. For the positive connector, I used a brass round head paper fastener with the clips bent back. I made a simple molded battery hold using hot glue. Finally I dremelled out the stem to fit snugly over a LR 510 carto with the end of the silicone sleeve cut off as a gasket. Found this to be a headache using hot glue to hold the battery, but eventually worked it out. I have the makings for another, So I will try a futuristic corn cob pipe next.

Thanks,
Josh

it's pretty simple. watch utube vids on making 'em.
if you can make it, do it.
if it works, use it.
if you don't like, or think you can do better.
give it away and make another.
if it ain't broke, don't sit on it ! cause it will be.
if you build it, they will come.
if they do, make 'em clean it up before they leave.
no one likes a sticky seat.
if they don't like, let 'em make their own !

Thank you guys. I am not much of a pipe smoker either but I thought it would be a fun project to work on. It vapes great. It is just about the same as a 510 with a carto. No complaints here. I read complaints about E-pipes having too long of a stem. I don't have experience, but apparently, the further the distance from the carto to you, the less flavor you get. That is why I drilled out the stem and fit it as far in as I can. It tastes just fine to me. I have a couple different pipe sauces to try with it aswell. Eventually I want to hand craft my own design, but I need to learn the basics first.
