Hey,

I posted my problem in the Ask the Veterans forum, but the topic is closed now, so I thought I'd continue here... because I'm still looking for an enhanced vaping experience. Here's the thread:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ask-veterans/327599-inconsistent-vapes-my-ego-t.html

Basically, my eGo-T used to work a lot better at first, which is only a few weeks ago. I can hardly get a thick vape anymore, even after several refills. I love it when it does, but I usually only get it after 10-20 drags, if even that.

There's so much to buy out there, so how do I know what I can screw on my battery to improve it? Maybe I should just buy a totally different thing, even... sigh. What store would be good to look through to see what I can fit on my eGo-T? I'm still a little overwhelmed here...

Thanks.

Thanks both for the info so far. I have really no good idea what I have; I bought it in a smoke shop in Rio Rancho and I didn't get much info with it. It's a clearomizer (clear tank) I guess. Here's a picture (the one on the right):

What baffles me is that it used to work a lot better... now I only get a good vape when it sounds like it's flooding (slight gurgling noise).

There are so many factors involved that it is a hard subject to handle. What works for me might not work for you.

What are you looking to spend and what size e-cig are you looking for?

If you are willing to spend good money and are willing to buy a big battery mod than your problem is easy to solve. It's not so easy if you are on a small budget and want a cigarette sized e-cig.

So how much are you willing to spend and can it be a big battery mod?

That's a Stardust NON REBUILDABLE Clearo They need to be washed with water or PGA and dry burned occasionally.

I read a lot of posts about clearomizer problems. When you're a noobie it is important to keep things simple. A regular low resistance cartomizer is simple.
I read the thread you linked & those folks recommended cartomizers.
Either of these will keep you satisfied while you learn more stuff:
Boge LR 2.0 ohm
Or
Smoketech 1.7 ohm

They come in 5-packs & cost about $7/pk

If you have not, I would start by cleaning everything. Even the threads on battery and tank, just to make sure you are getting a good connections. Why spend more when it might be an easy fix. Just take a tissue with a tooth pick over it and run it around the threading. Make sure you are burning the gunk of off you coils as well.

I don't care much about cost anymore. I threw away $75 for a cigarette-sized e-cig (the one on the left) that works like crap. I don't care about a big battery or how it looks, neither. As long as the vape is good. :)

Really? I might have to try that. I did clean it with a paper towel once, but that didn't help much... well after refilling it works well for a while and then it goes back to mediocre/low vapour.

Really, because I thought the first one I bought, the cigarette-sized one on the left, is a cartomizer. Am I wrong? It works like crap, it had this cotton think I need to drench and the vape is even worse than I have now with the clearomizer (which used to be just fine when I bought it).

Somehow I have a bad feeling about cartomizers/cigarette-sized ones.

Good quality cartos such as boge or smoketech do work well but IMO a clearo is more noob friendly. Especially the filling and cleaning aspect. Sounds to me like you just need to take that clearo apart and clean it. Hot tap water to rinse it, dry burn till it stops smoking, lightly prod the coil to knock the leftover ash off the coil and a final rinse in hot tap water just to make sure. Dry the wick with a napkin or paper towel, reassemble and refill. Give it 5 or so min for the juice to displace any water left in the wick and give it a few short draws to make sure all is good and enjoy your fresh and clean clearo
