Im thinking about getting a dripper set up. I like tinkering around and i currently have a MVP as my daily vaper couple of cart tanks iclear 30, protank2. But thinking about a bit more my budget is @150 any help and tips on what to look for would be great. with the exception of color they all look about the same to me and I cant tell if im getting a decent product. I doubt I will get something great for my price range but would like something of good quality.

(I hope this is the right place to ask this question)

For just starting out with dripping, I would start with something simple...

You can use your MVP at first, no issues there...

Here's a quick shopping list:

A simple 510 Bridgeless atomizer. No need for an rba at this point... As long as you're using good juice, you're gonna get some great flavor from one of these things! I'd get 2 just in case one is DOA.

510 Bridgeless Atomizer - Stainless - 2.0ohm

A 510 to 510 Sealed adapter. Bridgeless atomizers are very open, and without a sealed adapter they can leak everywhere.

510-510 Adapter (Sealed)

And last you'll want a drip shield. This is a great little addition. If you overdrip, this allows the juice to seep out, and as you draw on the atomizer it will draw excess liquid from the shield up through the air passages and back into the atomizer, so you're not wasting any juice. Kinda like a self contained bottom feeder.

Anodized Aluminum Drip Shield

So when you get everything, you'll want to thread the 510-510 sealed adapter on to your device, thread the 510 bridgeless atomizer into the adapter, slide the drip shield down over the atomizer and adapter (it should cover both), then use a 510 drip tip of your choice.

Drip about 5-6 drops of liquid into the drip tip, wait a few seconds for it to settle into the atomizer, and vape away...

This is a relatively cheap way to get into dripping, and IMO still the best. I've tried numerous RDA's and can find anything that offers the flavor I get from a simple 510 bridgeless atomizer. I've also found that of the cheaper atomizers available, the ones at Discount Vapers that I linked have the best flavor.

Once you've figured everything out and are happy with your experience, maybe look into something a bit more advanced like a Cisco Spec HH.357 atomizer from Avid Vapes... Those things are great, but they're expensive! They last a long time though so it makes up for the price in longevity... As long as you follow their instructions and take care of it!

Good luck, if you have any questions let me know

Haha! Yeah... Always test your liquids on a drip setup. Currently, as I wait for my liquid to show up in the mail tomorrow, I'm vaping a backup liquid. The shop I got it from had the samples in ce4's, and the flavor in question tasted like a nice tobacco that was a little reminiscent of an RY4. On a dripper, it's true nuances come out. Imagine, if you will: You have a dog. It was caught out in the rain. It comes back inside, smelling like... well, a wet dog. You can't handle the smell, so you dowse the dog in perfume. Now it smells like wet dog and perfume. The perfumed wet dog then sits on your leather couch cushion. Now, make an e-liquid that tastes like that leather couch cushion, with strong tones of perfume, and a wet dog undertone. You allowed this abomination into the world, because the liquid tased decent on something other than a dripper...

Yeah, there's nothing to them really, so a quick rinse and dry is all it takes. If that doesn't take the old flavor out, you can soak it in vodka for about 15 minutes or boil it. Then you're ready to go again... Now, keep in mind they only last about 2 weeks +/- a few days... Some only last a week, others 3 weeks... But eventually the coil will break. They're so cheap though, it's no big deal to get a few at a time...

If you want a rebuildable ...

A smaller RDA like one of the phoenix versions will work great. These can be found for under $7. I actually use one to test my DIY from time to time.

A larger RDA would be the IGO-L/-W. Another highly afforfable choice that performs very well

Higher end RDA ... might want to check out the Omega and/or Atomic. Both have adjustable air flow.

Personally, it wasn't until RDAs that I found myself dripping all that much. With them you can customize your vape 100% and save money over time. If you do go this route however, learn and practice safe usage of these devices. Always check your ohms and know the output limitations of your battery.

Best of luck.
