Hi, i am new here so i hope this thread is in the right section.

First off i have not been vaping for very long and have finally got my sweet spot using the Aegis Solo with the Falcon Horizon tank, i really enjoy this tank the flavour and vape with the M1 coil is amazing but i am looking for a lower watt DTL tank/coil combination that will still give great flavour as i find as much as i love this tank/coil combo i am vaping through my juice so fast.

So basically i am looking for a lower watt tank for my mod that i can use during the day in the hope of consuming less ejuice while i am out and about in my work van.

Thanks and hope to get some replies!

Edit:- I started off using the OBS Cube-x but due to the nature of my work this broke pretty damn fast as i am around dust and water all day but i was using Vaporesso mesh coils in this with the standard tank and it was consuming far less ejuice running it at 45Watts and still had plenty of flavour

I'm shocked that I am getting 130 puffs per ml with Triton Ni200 coils (TC only) in Atlantis EVO tanks. But the same coil in a BB A-Tank only gets 70 puffs per ml. 60 to 70 puffs per ml is very typical of subtanks.

Then there are coils like the FreeMax Mesh Pro with the triple mesh coils which drinks juice at 35 puffs per ml.

Youre not likely going to get a very frugal juice consumption with any DTL setup, and especially not at that wattage or above.

If youre looking to blow mad cloudz bro then youre going to go through juice, no way of avoiding it

If youre however looking not to smoke and you just want to serve your nicotine cravings and find yourself going through juice with a DTL tank, then heres one tip, increase your nic level, you'll toot less and use less juice. My top tip having rid myself of nic, after 35 years of smoking, is, if you are trying to sever your ties with nic (and i really wasnt, me quitting nic was totally unplanned and just happened) is to start high nic as new vaper (i started at 16mg/ml in subtanks) and taper it down over time, sometimes it can take years....i gradually tapered down to 2mg/ml) nic over 3 years and then thought "wonder what 0 nic is like?", and boom, i was nic free. Will be 2 years in July (and theyve gone very quick!)

Otherwise consider a MTL setup, its closer to smoking a cigarette, gives you a cooler vape and uses less juice

Yes, there are tanks and coils that may use slightly less juice compared to xx DTL tank, but the overall style uses more as a general rule

Theres nothing in the rules that says you can only DTL :) I know some folks who DTL (low nic, high frequency) during the day and switch to MTL (high nic. low frequency) at night and vice versa

I dont do tanks that use factory (premade) coils, so i cant really help on the which tank side of things,
except to say that theres some tanks (like the Aspire 2S), that have coils for both MTL and DTL options.

But another thing to think about is perhaps exploring a rebuildable tank RTA when you feel up to it, you can then have far more control over the coil ohmage and airflow etc than you get with tanks that use factory coils, and its far cheaper to vape that way too

I knew some people who almost had to get a mortgage years ago when Smok TFV tanks came out with up to octo coil heads :)

I think i will try upping the nicotine as a start, so say i go to 12mg that is 4 20ml of nicotine per 100mil juice bottle right? this horizon tank i think my first 2 days of using it i must of filled it 7-9 times.

alternative is i might just take your other suggestion if that does not work for me and go MTL in the day and cloud through the evening. If i was to use MTL during the what tank would you suggest? i have be looking the the new Nautilus tank but i have no experience with any MTL tanks at al.

Thanks for the replies also guys alot of helpful infomation there.

Nutty how to mix is always a bit daunting.
But it seems you have your ratios right with your nic shots so going the full hog probably won't be too hard just start with your 100ml bottle
Percentage of flavour if it says mix at 15%=15ml
Then the nic is easily added up at 1.8mg/ml per nic shot (ns) you put in
So
1 ns 1.8
2 ns 3.6
3 ns 5.4
4 ns 7.2
5 ns 9....
Fill with vg or pg depending on your setup I always find the skin inside my nose becomes irritated when I use too much PG so I only use PG flavouring and the rest is VG and that gives me about 85vg/15pg. us a calpol medicine syringe to get your percentage of flavour, i use clear bottles and mark the bottle with a sharpie after putting in the flavour shot so I know for next time. Shake and steep (leave to enhance) if needed.

BTW, I'm more into restricted DL now... was mostly just trying to help the OP. I love my silverplays (have two)... great flavor but tend to leak if I don't get things just right. Now I have three good ol Lemo 2 RTAs (never leak) and have found ways around their other issues (not wicking enough juice) and mounting coils directly to the screws (not the side holes) I love them!
