Baditude, you have to replace your cotton every few days?! That could be a real game changer for me personally. Regardless of how quickly I may be able to rewick it after plenty of practice, I think I'd eventually grow tired of doing it that often (if that's the case).

Yes you SHOULD rewick a KF every few days but it all depends on how much you vape and the juice you use.

About every 3+ tanks full. Nothing hard about it or that time consuming.

It is always good to wash out your clearomizer every few days anyway. So with a KF not only do you wash out the tank but you change the cotton wick and it is like a Brand New unit.

Edyle, I actually looked into mechs just earlier from another post. I really think, like the Genesis style RBAs, it would be more of a hassle for me to vape than I'd prefer. I looked at the Reo, by all means if that's not a mech or there's a different style of mech let me know so I can take a look.

Shootist and Baditude, that doesn't sound too bad if I can get to a point where changing the wick isn't something I spend over an hour trying to get right. Because of my troubles in the past I still wouldn't buy an actual kayfun or Russian until I can coil and wick without any problems in just 10 or 15 minutes.

I found this, the Kayfun Plus Lite v2 clone by EHPro on 101vape http://101vape.com/rebuildable-atomizers-tanks/295-kayfun-lite-plus-clone-v2-by-ehpro.html

I don't know if its any good. It's currently out of stock but I wouldn't be ordering for another month anyway... Like I said though, I have no idea if that's a decent clone or not, could be better ones out there for -about- the same price that I wouldn't mind giving a shot. I'd really rather not spend over $50 on a clone. Nothing to do with financial problems really, I just think that's a decent cut off. That way if I don't like building the coils and wick I'm only out $50, and if I decide I really like the device, I only spent $50 before purchasing the real device...lol

The EHPro clone is the one to get. I have 3 of EHPro's, 1 Tobeco, 1 HCigar and another that I can remember the name of. The Tobeco is still in the box it came in (I did take it apart and washed it when I first got it and the threading was terrible. So I just packed it back up and stuck it in my vape cabinet). The one I can't remember the name of is also in the vape cabinet. I use all 3 if the EHpro's and occasionally use the Hcigar.

Thanks everyone! I know what my next several purchases will be... lol. I went through and added all the things needed for the Kayfun building to an amazon wishlist (yes even the cotton) because like I went over several times, it's just easier to order everything online than drive to the nearest town. They had the Artistic Wire Gizmo that looks extremely handy, the same torch setup as in the home depot link in this thread, a spool of 28G wire, and like I said, the untreated chem free cotton wraps. So when I order the EHPro in roughly a month, I'll put in the order for those products at the same time. I'd rather start off with the right tools for the job than jump into building one on hopes and dreams, then getting frustrated (like I did with my last RBA) and tossing what could be a great device aside simply because I wasn't patient enough to wait on the right tools and supplies.
